  • Go to Nigeria and see how they produce oil. Or Iran Or Venezuela.....

Fuck off greenies. You only show people what you want them to see.

So you trespassed onto oil company property and you're disapointed because "it smells".

Well, that's the oil industry, it's smelled for over100 years. Your car smells, if you want to prove your point, stop driving. stop using electicity, start being the hippie you tell everybody you are, you goddam, hypocritical, sack of shit

  • always take into cnsideration how many people died in iraq for the bennifit of exxon mobil and british petrolium. Which is truely the lesser of 2 evils?

  • A lot of people here have bought the reasoning to destroy our habitat with no problem. Glad you're enjoying your truck and you can keep pumping out useless mouthbreathers. Good for you.

  • "In looking at the tasks that we need to fulfill for the planet, if we could get more than 10 percent of the people consciously aware, than I believe we could pull the 80 percent in that direction, too."-Dr.Masaru Emoto

  • Well for one...half the shit you show is in fort Saskatchewan, two...find me a job that pays my family as good as this one does up here and I'll go. But if you can't (which you won't) suck on deez nuts BITCH. Horrible documentary...don't watch

  • If it's better than coal, then USE IT.

  • The other thing people don't realize is that when you film a stack when it in -30 out the discharge seems much larger than in other places. That is why the film here shows such a great white discharge for such dramatic effect.

  • This is a free country, no one is going to send a servailence car after you. Try this in Saudi Arabia, or Iran and see how far you get. This area has the greatest environmental controls in the world. That is why you can film here with no problem.

  • Good thing BC doesnt refine its oil.. YET. I'm glad I live in a place that puts the environment and the land before anything. And it's such a shame this province has to border one as dirty and miserable as Alberta. Source: I lived in Fort Crack for a few months. Couldnt handle any longer.

  • When I see this is, it pisses the hell out of me. I live in Alberta and it's the only province in Canada that makes money. That greenhouse gas thing is bull shit. I'm in Mining and I went to a Lafarge plant on a field trip and Lafarge themselves said that they as a company are responsible for 50% of all CO2 emissions in Canada.

  • People will gladly let the environment get destroyed to get oil out of tar sands if it means they don't have to lower their standard of living.....another country will unfortunately probably move in and take control of the tar sands....

  • i hate it how this makes all of alberta look like a horible place that is doomed for all eternity. its actuly a great provice if you live here. plus the 18 year old drinking age is awsome

  • quien lo creyera que tristeza

  • parts of this video weren't even from Fort McMurray, they were the refineries outside of Edmonton. Tell a story, show the truth. Typical media putting what ever spin you want to try to sell your idea. so much for being the truth.

  • Canada has the worlds 2nd largest oil reserves that are not just in Alberta, but also in the Arctic regions, Hudson Bay and the Atlantic coastline among other places...

Every drop of it is going to the USA, along with our FRESHWATER and FORESTS at the cost of our environment and health...

  • hippie yuppie crybabies, stop driving, heating your house, using plastics etc etc then we will shut down the oilsands. Its unreal how some people can be so ignorant about the world. If it were not for the oil industry, you would be walking to ft mac

  • As an Albertan this seriously irks me. The ignorance is absolutely astonishing. It IS NOT as bad as they make it look.

  • @tamlub dam right

  • I'm no tree hugger, nor am I fan of the oil sands in Alberta. That being said, the arrogance of the assholes who made this documentary makes me want to puke.

  • you are all so igny if it was not for the oil you would not have such products as toothpaste, car's and the cameras that make these crappy vid's, yes its unfortunate that animals have died and trees get knocked down. but thats the price you pay for all the materialistic shit you have today! so start gowing your own veggies give everything you own away ooh scrap that dont grow the veggies you might kill them when you eat them. grow the hell up! oil is everything around you. God save the oilsands!

  • Where the hell does that moron get his statistics?

  • To all the people saying 'You travel, use plastic products etc', those are SUCH small potatoes compared with the Oil Sands. While I agree that everyone should do their best to limit their carbon consumption, you can't seriously suggest that taking a bus (btw better than driving a car alone) is even in the same league as the Oil Sands.

  • It takes 3 barrels of water to make 1 barrel of oil , they say there is 2 trillion barrels of oil in the tar sands , is the 6 trillion barrels of fresh water left in Canada ?

It flushes into Great Bear and Great Slave Lake then into The Beaufort Sea .

Gallons and gallons of shit polluting everywhere . Deformed fish , highest cancer

per capita in Canada . Ya , we all drive fucking vehicles , but this doesn't make it right . Tell all the Natives in Northern Alberta , " Bravo Bravo "

  • HMMMMM hey assholes, did you use a car to get to syncrude???

You are fucking hippies, so the clothes you are wearing are synthetic bitches....that means they are made out of fucking oil that came from syncrude...assholes...

  • VBS = REAL,

  • that´s sad bro! watched that documentary yesterday and i couldn´t believe it... not a place i wat to visit!

  • @666supersinistro666 Why would you ever want to "visit" and oil refinery? Like a vacation? Get real.

  • I agree that what is happening is destroying land and life. I also know it is just another in a series of catastrophies to befall the planet by our hand. I'll not pretend that I am not part of the problem because I have consumed man made products. Is it sustainable? I don't think so. I can at least admit it. I hope as well to stop this madness. I do think it is to late and we will all reap what we have sown. We are like cancer. We move in, overpopulate, destroy the surroundings and move on.

  • i am smelling the poison ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • How did these guys get to AB to do this little production? On foot? Bike? Were they "carbon-neutral" when they did it? Not frigging likely.

We have to mitigate pollution, but damned if I'll take a cue from whoever these guys are on where my fuel comes from.

My home has a lot of CFL bulbs, an efficient furnace, my car gets 47 miles/ imp. gallon. These are some of the things I can do, if everyone did something similar, I suspect there'd be no need for...VBS(?) to do this.

  • valid points. but you have your own environmental issues in the one of the dirtiest cities in the world...

go back home and report on new york...

  • With all the drillable oil in BC and Alaska we are instead sending natural gas from these regions to run the power to extract and refine dirty oil. Which in turn takes a barrel of oil to refine one barrel of oil into gasoline. We aren't allowed to touch the 12+ trillion in drillable reserves for the sake of the environment but this is somehow acceptable? Peak oil is a huge scam but we shouldn't sacrfice land and energy to prove it. Especially on such a mass scale.

  • I work at Syncrude Aurora mine unlike most Albertans I can be honest I don't really care how polluting we are, if it kills your children or the indians. What I do care about is that $2600/week i make clear. It's not like I am going to stick around and have to deal with it Alberta is hole in the ground, but that money will take me places.

did you know Syncrude has the largest dam in the world to contain its tailings.

  • these retards are the same people who curse the farmer with their mouths full.if they really wanted to know the truth they would have done some research of their own. they are like these greenpeace people going after seal hunters , funny how the fishing community understands that the less seal there are , the faster the fish stocks will replenish .especially when we let europeans overfish our waters and come here and complain about the death of seals which very well may starve anyway.

  • Most (99.9%) Americans are lazy F*%#ks. They do not want to know the truth, they only want to believe the lies.

LIke the bailout, my children will pay for it all. What is sad, I use to be a part of the problem, but I woke up thanks to all those voices of truth.

  • Yes..peak oil lady your a genius.

  • Excellent. "Toxic Alberta" is just a very small part of a plethora of misinformation regarding the oil sands. I would encourage anyone considering any sort of protest or spoken action to properly educate themselves on the subject beforehand.

  • Yes maybe we can all take a dip in the lake that killed 2000 birds, recently (yes not 700).

  • Oh no, 2000 birds. That must have got all those oilsandstruth people jumping up and down eh?

6000 birds die annually by smacking into skyscrapers into Toronto. 200,000 die annually in North America by smacking into wind turbines.

If your argument is that birds dying at Syncrude is justification to stop the oil sands, then you better phone up godzilla to start smashing down cities and turbines - and kill everyone's cats too.

  • @pooslut The point, pooslut, is that a LAKE is killing the birds. So, ONE freshwater LAKE is toxic enough to kill animals.

  • a tailing pond and a lake are two completely different things....

  • ok asshole!! if this "really fucking sucks" why do i see you driving a vehicle? i work in ft.mac and am sick of you hypocritical assholes calling it dirty oil, when in fact you yourselves are consumers as well

  • I do not drive, I do not own a car, nor am I a fat middle age man. Too bad my children will pay and not people that are causing it.

  • Do you take a bus?

    Do you travel?

Do you have plastic products in your house?

    Do you buy exotic foods?

I find it extremely hard to believe you don't consume any oil products at all.

  • Do you take a bus? - Only when the roads are narrowed by snow, then I throw my bike on it too.

Do you travel? - Yes, bicycle touring

Do you have plastic products in your house? - Yes, : ( but there are fewer each day.

Do you buy exotic foods? - only for the nutrition, not for pleasure.

America is so wasteful, that seperating myself from it does take work!

  • @Holepunchio its got nothing to do with what he does on a day and if he uses it !! All he is saying is there is better ways to do it without destroying a beautiful province at the same time . Imagine in 25 years when all the oil is gone whats Alberta gonna look like ???

  • @Holepunchio Alcohol was the first fuel, don't act like there was never an alternative. We are raping the world. Watch "who killed the water car" Fuck Big Oil!!!

  • LOL... out in the middle of Canada's tundra huh? If you're such an environmentalist, perhaps you ought to learn the difference between boreal forest and tundra? Maybe?

  • In reply to Arvydas 0069's ignorant comments, which states that globa warming is not man made, and that leading scientists agree is about the most ignorant comments I've heard in a few years. David Suzuki, which by the way, is a very acclaimed scientist doesn't see it that way. He stated that it is unacceptable to think global warming is not man made anymore, there is irrefutable proof that it is indeed. If one of these large toxic "reservoirs" were to spill into the Athabaska river..thats it.

  • I have a few friends that are working in Fort Mac,and they have not had one positive thing to say about the oil sands. Its dirty, extremely enviro unfriendly and a massive eyesore. We need all of the Boreal Forests to stay intact, once you change ecosystems on a massive scale like the oil sands,it cannot be returned back to its original state. The one "reclaimed" area the oil giants keep boasting about was done on an area of land where toxic ground leaching ponds were not located.

  • What about urban sprawl, Or are you retarded and don't realise that they too rip up Eco systems? If you where a outside observer to this planet all of our cities and towns would be just as appalling as the oil sand operations. And couldn't you argue that the oil sand companies are doing nothing but cleaning up a natural oil spill??

  • fukin idiot stands on raw tar sand and bitches about how it sucks, sure is some fukin dummys out there. and fort mac contributing 2/3 of canadas greenhouse gases, come on, even leading scientists could barely figure this out, let alone this redneck. alberta keep digging!

  • yup. im a couple hours away from ft mac. its not that bad. fucking pussy.lol. "be careful, the snow is really fucking deep".. HAHAHAHA. omfg. thats like half a foot. shit son last winter its snowed like 4 1/2 feet in one day at my place. i have to go out with a shovel. for 4 days straight to clear my driveway. at -32c

  • Gotta love it when those with absolutley no real world expierience take up the role of professional activist. This is just another cut and paste on the worst rips on the oilsands. You claim to have researched this from all angles, you didn't. No mention of aboriginals who are partners, no mention that reclamation is taking place and certifications granted. You claim an areathe size of Florida has been decimated it has not, thats only the size of the deposit, most is too deep and requires SAGD.

  • You made no mention of new technology that is allowing colder process temps and as a result less external energy processing inputs. You tresspass on industrial sites, stand on unprocessed sand and say this "sucks". Well sir you suck, your biased reporting and open championing of your environmentalist agenda makes any point you try to make irrelevant to those of us who prefer fair reporting, the only people you will sway with this trash is like-minded individuals who are as mentally challenged.

  • bravo...bravo....

  • How long are the boneheaded sheep of the world going to pretend that humans can continue to depend on oil forever? Don't tell me about an area's economy when trying to justify pollution. You are a moron if you think pollution is ok for ANY reason. Perhaps if these idiots woke up and realized that no "god" is going to make it all better, they may be able to develop their brains enough to be decent humans!

  • when the assholes of the world quit calling us sheep!!! i need fuel to heat my home, the schools, the hospitals and for my vehicals so we can get to work to support our families. instead of bitching about pollution...bitch about finding cleaner ways to burn fuels...makes more sense to me!!

  • You completely missed the point, dumb cluck. BURN FUELS = environmental destruction! You are a sheep, blindly following along with the pack, no mind or will of your own. Sure, you tell yourself it's not true, but when is the last time you questioned the validity of religion, or what government tells you, or anything else you currently follow? I'm sick and tired of hearing about "family"! You chose the "family" route so don't whine to me because you are miserable trying to support such "family"!

  • dumb cluck? and yes...burn fuels...there are going to be cleaner alternatives. check out Harry Schoells clean running steam engine, he's adapting it for a lawnmower. and for family...who's whining...i'm stating a fact!! and again, im not a sheep blindly following along w/ the pack, i work in the industry drilling wells for nat. gas and oil (ironically right now i'm doing oilsands work) so validity....i know exactly what goes on....do you?

  • I live in BC and my two kids live in Drayton Valley AB, and I am concerned about oil sands pollution. The oil companies admit to tailing ponds leaching into ground waterways, that is absolutely unacceptable. If my children end up with health issues from the oil sands there will be more than hell to pay!

  • drayton valley is a long way from fort mac..

  • Whoever created this video is a douchebag. This is the best thing to happen to Alberta. Ft Mac is sitting on the most oil in the world and some tool art student with a camera complaining about it isn't going to change the fact that theres money to be made and oil to keep in North America. Do everyone a favor and go into a bar there and complain and see the bottles start flying at your face

  • Best thing to happen, really? Flying over a moonscape of decimated land and toxic ponds, wow! that sounds like the best thing to happen to AB for sure. The fact that the govt and the oil companies admit to trailing ponds leaching into the ground water is very sad, any leakage is unacceptable. There is way more to life than money, and there are thousands of other "green" ways to make a living, you dont need a big fancy house and jacked up trucks and tons of toys to raise a healthy family.

  • well fact is we need oil...there is a demand for it....they are just meeting that demand. And this is an extremely minimal plot of land in Alberta they are "ruining" The air quality in Alberta is still spectacular and Global Warming is not man made so there are no far reaching "ozone effects." You are fine unless you plan on moving in right after they leave and cultivating farmland on the site

  • "Global warming is not man made", if you still believe that then there is no hope for you. You are just part of the problem, apparently ignorance is bliss, and I bet you are a very happy person.

  • leading scientists are very much in favor of the fact that it isn't man made

  • And ground water was not contaminated before? correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't there oil there before just in a much more toxic and concentrated state?

  • Alberta is liquidating this precious resource to multinational corporations while continuing to import oil from abroad. It is also collecting the least royalties from the operations of ANY other NATION. Even nations we consider to be third world collect more money from their oil industries.

  • I don't know where they got that statistic but, Fort McMurray is not responsible for 2/3 of Canada's greenhouse gas emissions. The idea that a city of 80,000 is responsible for 2/3 of all emissions for a country of 30 million is completely ridiculous. Please check your facts.

  • We are being sold out by the rich and our politicians canada has more oil and chepaer pries than the middle east we dont even need oil the legislatures are stalling our progress by forbidding water run cars (Hard Water) and making the process for solar a political nightmare because if you go solar witth your home electric companies will start paying you! Americans progress is being stalled so we can become a nation of third world servants to a rich elite who will vacation in Europe spendin Euros

  • America has the technology to develope new fuel sources and Canada has the oil. We need to work together. Something really big has got to happen and quick!

  • Well like i stated before a few areas of alberta are nice , but to me the majority of alberta is a wasteland. I would say that Alberta is nicer than Saskatchewan and Manitoba ,, but B.C , Ontario ,Quebeq etc , are more appealing.

But whatever opinions are just that, opinions.

  • Alberta is a wasteland.

  • I doubt you've been here then, alberta is one of the most beautiful places on the planet google images

  • Sorry , you are wrong about that . I live in Edmonton ,(castle downs) to be exact. I was born in westlock , and raised in edmonton.

I can say that not all of alberta is a wasteland , but a great majority of it is .

The mountain parks and the foothills of the rockies are magnificent , but honestly , anything north of edmonton / slavelake .

All areas east of red deer , looks like a thermonuclear bomb hit it. The cities are just dirty , litter strewn all over the place .

  • And if you would ask why i am here , well of course ,,the same reason everyone else comes here ,The Money , they certainly would not come here for any other reasons.

  • okay i'll agree that there are some dingy areas but it's ridiculous to say that the majority of alberta is a wasteland, it's not! most of alberta is either lovely golden rolling prairies or golden rolling prairies backing out onto foothills and the rocky mountains. Also north of edmonton is not as you describe it, i have a cabin at calling lake it's nice up there too. Obviously an oil refinery is an eyesore but every city has its industrial areas.

  • I like how this guys is driving around in cars and flying in planes all the while complaining about oil.

  • Its beutifull:-))

  • actualy judqeqixxer is rong, the ression y most of the Canada's population is along the border is that whe nthe railroad was being built, the company that was building the railroad was going bank rupet so insted of going up north were they would of had to cut down trees and go through hilley ares(were it was intented to go) it insted went through the flant ares bec it would of cost a lot less so the northen towns were supposed to become bigger not the sotheren towns

  • The reason we Canadians live so close to the American border is because with every degree of latitude you head north the more bloody freezing cold it gets. In places like Edmonton, Alberta in the winter you have to use a block heater for your car to start in the winter or the engine will crack from the 40 below cold. Also clarke643, with all due respect, utilize the spell checker feature please.

  • ahhh no....that ant based on history is it. Canada's north was supposed to be heavy populated not the south by the border. And some stright faq's will be great.

  • Canada is the 51st state. We lead the exact same lifestyle, watch the same tv, drive the same cars, build the same style of houses with the same urban sprawl and shop at the same stores. 90%of Canadas population is within 100 miles of the USA border. The ONLY difference is some of us might be a little more polite. Everyone has too face the fact that we are all part of the ratrace and quit pointing fingers.

  • The only different is some of us are a little more polite? Hm, I think there are way more differences than that but I do think we are becoming more and mooore like the US. Sadly.

  • Care to enlighten me on all these differences? Granted we can't carry handguns and we have better healthcare. If you randomly plucked someone out of Latvia, or China or where ever and plopped them into any smalltown or big city in Canada... they would think they were in the USA. The only way they would find out they were not is if they read a licence plate or someone actually told them.

  • Handguns and health care is a big difference imo.

  • It's because we are more caring (polite). That however has nothing to do with environment issues. On a per Capita basis, Canada is even a worse polluter than the states. (sorry whats imo?...I'm don't text messenge so I'm not up on all the latest acronyms)By the way You did not mention any of the"way more differences" that you speak of.

  • I do not even own a TV any more. I do not drive my car any more. I am as great as green as you can get!But We are much better tehn USA ad so many other countreis, even those majoir oil produceurs in the Middle East!

  • i live in ontario and this makes me sick, i just watched the 16 or so parts of this. I knew it was bad but this opened my eyes. One thing that is really odd how they blame bush, umm i didnt think pres bush had control over Alberta nor i didnt think he had control over international oil corporations which has no national borders and will sell to everyone. Can't they say they sold themselves out like whores and not blame other people. How about you vote for someone that will change these ways?

  • IF I have my NORCAT will they hire me? I just paid 6000grand to go train for my general core mining lisence. I work in palladium but This oil in the sand seems like open pit minig to me. FUck in N Ontario I only pay 550 for awesome 1BR MYbe a should be happy with what I got

  • if i had a gun id blow my head off

  • pelican is one oh my favorite bands. that music is unmistakable.

  • Here in the U.S. it's still an oil party. Big SUVs and pickups with one person in them, moving at breakneck speeds on the interstates and byways. The sheeple figure as long as there is gasoline at the pumps and they pay for it they can use it however they want. There is a huge disconnect between the nozzle at the pump and the damage, conflict and deaths that it costs to bring it there.

  • Right on Crack, but here's the real injustice. If you don't want to participate in this unpatriotic oil-sucking lifestyle what can you do? There is only one infrastucture and its geared to huge, powerful cars. When a Ford Explorer gets into an accident in which there is a fatality with a normal car the car driver is 17 times more likely to be killed. So in this, and so many other ways you are being forced into the other persons pathology.

  • So, how many worthless Cannuks does it take to suck oil out of the sand?

    Answer: Who fucking cares, EH?

  • ..the destruction of hughe areas of woods for the major numbers of refineries...(there is another one here can you see it?)does not affect the quality of the air at least in the area....really? maybe your nose has been shoved in shit for too long now ...finally...there is some true in the fact that kind of oil sand proccess is less contaminating...its a proccess created in venezuela...who has that same kind of oil...

  • ...take a moment to think (try harder) about your way of life and what is that doing it to the enviroment...that is what cause the creation of those fucking oil refineries...that contaminate!..dont deny the fact that those things smells real bad...dont be stupids...you think that the only thing that comes out of those pipes is "steam"?..are you serious? really?

  • incredible how many stupid people there is here....i mean americans...of course they are...but canadians also?...never spect that..american tv got you so blind that you cant see for yourself a way to make your own thoughts...are you really waiting for an answer in this video..idiots? you are so used to do what you are told.

  • Not all of us are stupid arnaldo667. I commute on a motorcycle when possible and drive a fairly efficient car. I watch no TV other than educational programs (and stargate, hey thats made in Canada). It's a real shame there ARE so many stupid people here. But after decades of brainwashing, I guess that what happens.

  • I started a channel called albertavotes in the hopes to bring all issuies to the front line in the next election, I have featured this story because it needs to be heard

  • Dude(et)s you can see this toxic crap on google maps, the smogy haze and just general toxicity looking plants.. follow the river north of Fort McMurray Alberta on satellite view.. its is polluting the world... not just Canada.

    "maps.google(REMOVETHISPART).ca/maps?near=Fort+McMurray,+Alberta,+Alberta,+Canada&q=Fort+McMurray,+Alberta,+Alberta,+Canada&f=l&rl=1&ie=UTF8&hl=en&cd=1&mpnum=0&ll=57.045212,-111.579895&spn=0.164349,0.466919&t=k&z=11&om=1"

  • you should realy think about locking all comments on this video...some of them are getting out of hand...

  • Glad to see they are using all that frozen earth for something useful.

  • Caifan did I beat your ass growing up? I think I remember you

Sorry, I hung you by your sister's underwear on the flagpole I hope it didn't traumatize you.

  • your mom beat you.

  • Who is this guy? I've lived in Alberta most of my life - this is pure garbage. Fort MacMurray on the tundra? I guess garbage facts in, garbage reporting out.

  • I know, he says that two thirds of Canada's carbon dioxide comes from Fort MacMurray. What is he basing that laughable statistic on?

  • the percentage isn't the question. toxic waist land is the question.

  • Alberta is sick.... it is the epitome of consumption and destruction. The mentality here would blow your mind. The best part is I think pt 12 where they show the "reclamation" of the the land. You can see the the tailings ponds from space!!

  • We know the earth is in Crisis we need solutions the reported has not researched enough to present both sides As a journalist I would give his report a D+

  • This is stupid reporting at it's finest. Where's the solutions dude? Are there any Dude? Wow, this really f$@&ing sucks. I mean how can we help with no solutions outlined? Do I mind? DO I care? smoke another one dude.

  • you are stupidity at it's finest. Have you watched the rest of the videos? Probably not since you are drawing conclusions based on this video...there are 15 episodes.

  • Hey Idiot good reporting lists that in the fiorst episode

What are you fucking this dude?

  • your mom is.

  • and your probably got the time to watch all 15

  • yup =)

  • Um yeah, oil sands stinks so does dog shit what does that have to do with anything?

  • As an energy educated and informed Albertan, I see the need for a balanced approach to our resource production, but this video doesn't do our process justice. These folks obviously took little time to do any due diligence, prior to packaging up and displaying their ignorance. We welcome alternative solutions, improvement technology, and cooperation with communities throughout Alberta, the aim is to provide the needed energy through efficiency.

  • Thank you VBS for sharing this informational video and thank you VBSdotTV for bringing this to Youtube.

  • if yall want to see sumthing funny go to " the action packed movie of the millenium" its funny as hell

  • Well, I see two options so far, burn the trees to keep warm or get some of that oil out of the ground. Alberta looks cold. Do you have any other solution other than," it really f*&king sucks."

  • malo

  • How about we learn what Tundra is before we make a documentary. I'm guessing these guys are american...

  • the americann peoples world petrols, have ...

    TURKEY PETROL's close and undergraund...

    the best of TURKİYE!!!

  • The Athabasca tar sands have 100% recovery of their petroleum where conventional recovery is about 60% at best. There's more heavy oil in Alberta than there is conventional crude oil in Saudi Arabia. And if you don't like the smell then put your heads all back up your butts.

  • Come on Peak Oil! We're ready here in Oregon...the sooner the better!

  • yeah, sure you are...

  • OIL MUST DIE!!!

Save the Earth, Not the people?

  • Cut back on the consumeristic bullshit. You won't die.

  • Watch My cuzin dance on my page...Comment and rate the video too!!!

    Thank You!!!!

  • Man, I just came across a comment I hadn't seen before about the process in which the oil is extracted from the sand.

How is the steam for this washing machine process created? Oh, yeah natural gas. Go in the summer when you can't see anything? Oh, yeah, CO2 is invisible. Energy must go in to get the energy out. In the case of the oil sands, that equation is very close to, if not, negative.

  • Actually this Micheal Moore wannabe never presents any solutions and and like "Columbine" misses the most important point completely.

  • You're taking this video the wrong way. I don't like the host either, but he does bring about some good points about our oil "addiction".

  • Damn, the below post is supposed to be below the one below it. That's a lot of belows.

  • A REAL reporter you need to present a viable options and SOLUTIONS presented allowing the viewer to choose the best possible solution and outcome. I can see the fire but where's the firetruck?. Commercial Hollywood pretending to be Grassroots at best not solving The Worlds Problems but being a part of them. 60 minutes is actually 40 and Micheal Moore is still Fat

  • WTF! Dude, First of all these type of reports are to inform and to create awareness of things that are not right, or harming a certain group, or ecosystem. His job is not to provide solutions to this problem, but to create awareness among the authorities. Get your facts together man...oh, and YOUR proposed solutions "really suck"

  • Man, some of the people in this thread really need to look at the video more closely. From what I got from it, it is not talking about how Canadians are polluters, or any other "Alberta-bashing" clap trap.

This video is showing how our sources of oil are getting more and more unconventional. No pollution? Hah! Look up the term EROEI.

Please, you think there is no problem with the world consuming nearly 100 million barrels of oil a day?

  • Money Makes the World go around (down)?

  • Most of these facts are highly incorrect, you do know the states deposists more emitions than canada right?

I'm starting to wonder how much of your documentaries are just random shit thrown together.

  • i live in alberta and have all of my life and god what a load of bullshit this wasn't even close get your facts stright

  • Well, it's conveniently far away that noone ever gives a sh**. Very sad humans we are

  • Frightening! This shows avarice at its worst. Keep it up, guys.

  • OK first thing how du u guys think ur car is running if "Oil Industries suck ..." or even like in that vid HOW DID YOU FLY OVER THERE ? with the help of oil u dumb fucks

  • Rofl, thats calgary, I live there!

  • Firstly you have to be above the tree line to be in the tundra....Eddy make sure you get your facts right when you decide to trash talk....being a life time resident in GOD'S Country "Alberta" reclamation is part of the process in the resource industry so come back in 50 years....in the meantime review my favourites to see how this province protects it's natural splendour....I'm sure where ever you go it stinks to high Heaven so go back to that hole that you crawled out of

  • oi ulol

  • Do we care , hell no !! Go blow it out your ear and try this on Bush , see how far you get. Oh and by the way we Canadians take people with attitudes like yours as Terrorists , So look forward to being investigated , see how we deal with Americans Butting into our country. Get out of our resources, and country period

  • I am Canadian and from Edmonton originally. The producers of this video have no idea what they are talking about . Fort Mac is a beautiful town , & this is an erroneous video ... further your language tells us just how educated you are. Blame your Government it is their investment dollars invading our Country , so kindly, Get the Hell out of Canada and Mind your own Goddam business for a change

  • I'm from Hinton, Ab. Fort Mac used to be a beautiful place. Not so much anymore. It's gotten real ugly.

  • This guy needs to get a life

  • Don't listen to these nay-sayers who say this video is false. They're brainless rig-pigs who enjoy having a grade 8 education and earning $150,000 a year. We need more exposés like this one.

  • Damn hippies!

  • And you are a Phd working at a drive-up window? If you're happy not making money, why would you be bitter towards those that do? I'm on my way to the bank, and in a bit of a hurry. Could you put a rush on that cheese burger and fries for me? Thanks.

  • Wow! what an absolute shit piece of video.Thats a waste of 4 minutes and eight seconds.Informative, investigative journalism this isn't. I've been to Ft.McMurray. This is just some wiener who wants to be on You Tub
