In "Hard Day's Night" Paul's grandfather was that "little old man". Paul is now that "little old man" but still vital and still working. Paul is overdue for a album of this type. It suits him perfectly and goes back to his roots.

"kisses on the bottom" is part of a lyric from the song "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter," by Fats Waller, which Paul covers on the album. So the title is'nt all that odd, even though I still feel that it is not the best title. But then again, its Paul McCartney. He could name it "rolling around in feces" and I would still buy it.
