@omardude2 You can control it, but once you take off and the procedure is complete a cutscene occurs. But the landing and taking off is all user controlled.

try that on FSX ace combat is easy even though it dose make very good or a combat flight simulator fsx carrier landings are the hardest ive found

anyway used to play the ace combat series when i was much younger. I particularly loved ace combat 2.

Im not sure... you can do carrier landings on any mission. Just pick the correct plane. =]

There is no details on how to get them.. Just pick the correct plane thats all... I believe the most popular plane the Su 35 can land in carriers in the game... Just like the F/A-18

Just cross the return line on certain maps, if you look at your map during a mission you should see a dashed line on 1 edge, just cross that line and you will begin. Then just slow down to about 150 and land on the carrier. For the takeoff just apply afterburners and it will launch you off.

Im not sure... all i know is that we fly jets to destroy enemy targets... and we can land them in battle when ever theres a strip, a outside base and a aircraft carrier. So yeah =P

Ace Combat is about 50/50, Hawx is mostly arcade, and another game on the 360 called Over-G Fighters is mostly a simulator.
