changing the clips faster rather than letting the same scene go for like 10-15 seconds would have made a difference, also, could have varied the video like putting diffent scenes together.

This song does fit the Joker's relationship with Batman in that movie. Make no mistake about it. But Franz Ferdinand's music needs a more rapid-fire style of presentation as far as the visuals are concerned. Take a look at their "Take Me Out" video. Cuts on just about every beat.
For example, in your video, you dwell on the ballroom scene too long. Maybe you were afraid of having to reuse footage, I dunno. For a music video, there (to be continued...)

shouldn't be more than 10 seconds of continuous footage... (or at least a music video set to something with a tempo like this...).
Try integrating more cuts. I guarantee that it will feel a lot punchier.
