I believe the passage in the Bible is saying that wives should submit to their OWN husbands as opposed to submitting to someone else. I also believe that by implication, the admonition applies to husbands also.

It is no new thing for Satan to use scripture to distort the truth.

As John stated, there are many antichrists in the world. I believe Alan Grayson is one of them.

@carcaril Thank you for your comment. I am some what confused with your comment however. The video starts out with the phrase you mentioned. Later in this video it indicates what Dan Webster really said which is "don't use this phrase". Instead use the phrase "love your wife as Christ loved the Church". If you became disturbed by the first phrase taken out of context and didn't listen to the whole video, I understand. Please watch the video gain and you will understand what I am saying.

also, Bryan Fischer, Daniel Webster's ally tried to justify the behavior of the now-infamous South Fulton, TN fire department thusly:

Unfortunately, Alan Grayson outright lies, which almost everyone agrees because of the proof shown here. Many progressives also believe Glenn Beck's opinions are lies while many conservatives believe Beck's opinions are true. Both of the above 2 statements are true.

You say, "the Republicans have been doing this rubbish for decades" but you praise Alan Grayson for essentially doing the same thing. Republican's have "attack dogs" and so do Democrats. Grayson unfortunately outright lies while most "attack dogs" of both parties interprets facts to fit the arguments, not necessarily valid but not deliberately outright lying.

@ipxzor Thanks for your comment. I must differ with you on a couple of points. I agree that Mrs. Dole was wrong in supporting that ad but it is not something she did on several different commercials like Alan Grayson. Rep. Grayson outright lied on many occasions. Alan Grayson tried to justify the editing of his commercials, (Taliban Dan, Webster was a draft dodger, etc") which Dole did not do. Hagan also lost her cool concerning the issue and Webster denies the allegations and moves on
