The Torah does state that homosexuality is an abomination, yes. But first off abomination had a different definition back then, then it did today. That verse does not play any part in what our religion teaches today. Hating is morally wrong. I've always been amused that some people think wearing clothes in the style that humans hundreds of years ago (Amish, Chasidim, some nuns) somehow makes one more 'holy' is beyond me... Same with extremely archaic English (like 'believe ON the Lord")... It's just silly... If one wants to 'shed the word that one lives in' something modern (even if it's all black and white) to wear would be more appropriate. Otherwise, those people more or less are viewed as idiots...

I have no problem writing the word God, but I was showing respect by using the Jewish spelling. That does not make me or anyone else a kafir, but rather is what Islam is all about, something a "real Muslim" would know.

I just discovered that ronen died. We weren't good friends. i found his videos intelligent, compassionate, thoughtful, and friended him on facebook last year sometime between Feb and April, so not long before his passing. I'm currently converting to judaism. I'm converting conservative, not Orthodox, but he did influence my decision to try to be more Halakhically observant in my judaism. I shall remember him.
