  • I'm Dutch, but I'm studying in NI and the country amazes me almost every day. Such polite folk, beautiful scenery, yet in its core it's kinda fucked up. As a Dutchman I just don't understand it, so stupid....

  • @jethyy they want respect

  • im gathering this is full of americans looking down there noses at the british, but remember the 1st and 2nd gult war, americans (and british aswell) were accused and found guilty of tourture, im not condoneing it but you never know what it feels like in a combat situation, and how you feel about he enemy

  • Children Tortured.... Oh for god sake, stop listening to Sinn Fein's peddalled propaganda.... I wouldn't believe the dying declaration of ANYONE who has an ajenda, like IRA/Sinn Fein.

  • Collusion than and collusion now, still going !

  • cop scum

  • Nothings changed ruc scum.

  • ruc BASTARDS!!

  • At 2:43 is that guy pakistanis ?

  • Northern Ireland, or should I say the country with the biggest incest rate in the world.

  • I have a firm believe that people should live in fear towards eachother. Fear for eachother in it's primitave form, means that you respect the strength of another man' s actions. However, keep respecting eachother. Do NOT react on your the emotion of fear. Accept it and be proud of you own way of live. Respect someone's else's way of live. Don' t know another way, how people can live together in peace. Hope you understood this, in the context of this video. Hope that MAN will have peace one day

  • good god..the ignorance is stiffling. Some people do not only not know the truth..they're clearly not interested in it. unfortunately the truth will come around and bit those in the ass who refused to recognise it. Irish history in written in blood spilled by the english.menwomen childrens and the elderlys heads were cut off further back in history as warnings to the next intended town not to resist english advancement..its gets worse...but..you neither want to know it or search history.

  • Any old policeman from the 60's and 70's will tell you that rough handling was part and parcel of police work in those days. Nothing here is significanly different . We need to remember just how murderous the IRA were, giving a few suspects a bit of a hard time for a few days was nothing compared to what they were doing. Anyway, none of them died or suffered any serious permanent injury. Had a policeman or soldier been captured by the IRA he'd never have seem the light of day again.

  • @paddy864: well said. It's always good to see someone posting a comment that makes sense.

  • @paddy864 Come off it. Were many police forces involved in rape, murder & torture in the late 60s? The RUC are hugely culpable for radicalising & brutalising youth here & responsible for the first murders of the troubles, before the PIRA even existed. They helped orchestrate mass internment & torture of peaceful political activists & civilians of one community exclusively. You cannot apply the moral standards of a terrorist organisation to the arms of the state who exist to protect us.

  • @monogirl3

Bollocks. For a start, name just ONE vicitim of rape by a uniformed RUC officer, on duty at the time of the offence, and where the offence was clearly an act of institutional policy which was then ignored or glossed over by the force in question? Otherwise, Fuck OFF!

The RUC were NOT responsible for the first murders of the troubles but they were responsible for the arrest, prosecution, and conviction of the UVF members who did commit them, Google "Gusty Spence" for full details.

  • @paddy864 God, I didn't mean rape in a sexual sense. I should have made that clearer. I meant the destruction definition of the word eg. when they raped the Bogside on 5th Jan 69, smashing the whole area up, assaulting people & shouting sectarian abuse at the residents (there's a news report on this if you can find it).

They were indeed responsible for the first deaths of the Troubles. Francis McClosksey, civilian, beaten. Samuel Devenny, civilian, beaten. Patrick Rooney, 9, shot.

  • @monogirl3 Well if you dont mean it then don't say it, OK? The RUC, in the entire history of the troubles actually killed about 8 people, so lets get some perspective here shall we? And don't try and lecture me, I was 13 when the trouble started and I grew up with it, I also served 9 tours of duty in NI over a period of 22 years, so I have some first-hand knowledge of what went on as opposed to second-hand, biased, one-sided, selective bullshit. Capice?

  • @paddy864 My own family's first hand experience, & others still, happens to be at odds with yours. Are you genuinely claiming they must be lying, or that they provoked discriminatory abuse? My family are not even republicans, just people who lived in a working class nationalist area during this period. I've also read extensively from sources considered objective accounts, not propaganda pieces. Do refute these accounts of unjustified maltreatment?

  • @paddy864 Yes UVF men WERE arrested as early as 66 but the wider unionist community were not demonised, intimidated & targeted by the RUC en masse like their counterparts on the nationalist side. This also doesn't contradict the fact they were violent & abusive beyond what was considered "normal" practice of the day in any civilised society, as Human Rights Watch would tell you.

  • Rightfully Done

  • Pammy:

There are nothing but innocent men in prison. I don't condone or defend physical abuse by police officers or anyone in authority, but it was rare and most of the feckers deserved it. If you need to feel ashamed, be ashamed that we didn't bury all the terrorist before they got a chance to surrender and become Government ministers! There's a lot of hurt in the world, but have you noticed that the good guys don't seem to complain, just the poor innocent "terrorists" and their supporters.

  • @angusmctavish62 I do not and have never supported any terrorist but it doesn`t mean an elected Government can terrorize innocent people. Peace x

  • How do you pronounce lawyer with a northern Irish accent ? "Liar"

  • The British army are good not bad

  • @bbjackasses11 Well said

  • @Maxchas1995 "Every country has done shit" .. you can apply the same flawed logic to the actions of the IRA by your facetious reasoning.

  • should always be avoided. Don't hate someone because they're from one group or another, but hold them to account for what they do, and if you're ignored, make like Ghandi and get the world's attention.

I know I'm speaking as an outsider, and tat the Irish have a lot to be very angry about, but I've seen the beginnings of that in people close to me and it can't lead anywhere good.

  • @tSp289

Ghandi? Didi you know Ghandi wanted an armed revolution? Pacifism was his second choice because he couldn't find enough weapons.

  • @SSTTEEAALLTTHH It still worked though, didn't it?

  • @tSp289

Plan B always works, plan A always sucks for some reason.

  • ...places they've lived for more than 30 years, and that is not easy when you consider how much more expensive living can be in other parts of the world. I'm all for the preservation of our language and culture, but it can't take priority over people basically being a good human. Nationalism always has an ugly side.

I can also see why Irish people want to be free of Britain - I don't blame them, and this video has made me feel ashamed of what my government has done, but violence and brutality..

  • I think if Wales were to become completely independent, it would suddenly become much poorer both economically and culturally. I've seen what happens when a 'welsh christian' institution takes over an 'english liberal' one (the words of the local paper, not mine) - basically everyone's wages got slashed, and anyone who can't speak welsh fluently is threatened with losing their job. When this institution is the only real employer in the town this might mean that they have to move away from...

  • @kelleyclip I see where you're coming from, but I am Welsh, and over the last ten years I've seen the rise in Welsh nationalism take over my hometown, and it's an ugly, ugly thing. Our 6th form common room divided itself into two: those who were welsh and english, irish, korean etc. who would all talk to one another and get along well, and those who went into the next room so they could be among only welsh people, and tbh not all, but many of them were close-minded and unfriendly

  • I am disgusted that children were tortured, well any torture is. What the man at the end of this video sates makes sense. ` torture leaves a detestation for the aggressors that does not fade for generations`.

I am ashamed to be English because of the ruling classes.

  • @pammyoneto god damnmit every country has done lots of shit, plus they were doing that to find the IRA terrorists who were setting bombs in Britain and killing innocent people.

  • @pammyoneto I hate middle class tits like yourself.

  • @TheSirPrise I am working class if I am in a class! Some things are plain wrong and this is wrong.

  • @pammyoneto That doesn't entitle you to make such a crass and vulgar comment such as "I am ashamed to be English." Now I'm not a patriotic person, I don't believe in waving flags around and chanting your country's name over and over again however, I would never be ashamed of who I am and where I come from and when I see people who post such ignorant comments just to appease other people who aren't from England (why do you think you have so many thumbs up?) it vexes me greatly.

  • @TheSirPrise I am like you in the regard. I love this Country but I am ashamed of our Politicians. They don`t care about people. We only need look at the multi millionaire Tony B Liar to have that confirmed.

  • I saw the video of the British soldiers in Iraq beating up children. If it's good enough for the Iraqis, it sure as hell is good enough for British children. Beat the fuck out of them! And I apologize to the Irish who do not want to be part of Britain but the rest of you Uppity Brits deserve to get your asses beat.

  • @WhiteShark392 No you didn't. What you saw was a few young thugs getting a richly deserved kicking from the soldiers whom they'd been throwing rocks, petrol and blast-bombs at a few minutes previously. The same soldiers incidentally, who were risking their lives to try and restore some sort of order to their fly-blown, crap-strewn, violent, backward, shit-hole of a country, and getting damn-all thanks for it. Where were all these young louts when Saddams boys were in power, not rioting I'll bet?

  • @paddy864 I'm sure others who served here over 22 years would surely agree with you that any behaviour on their part can be wholly justified, but not the large population who were on the recieving end of police intimidation.

Those civilian victims of RUC brutality, state sanctioned torture or intimidation 'deserved' it as much as any other victim of violence in the conflict. Also, there were 55 recorded murders by them, not 8.

  • @kelleyclip Im sorry conor but your suggesting that Ireland is 26 counties, there is no north of ireland or the sth republic there is only Ireland all 32 counties of it.

  • @robertemmet04 Passport says The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

  • there you go - " torture leaves a detestation for the aggressors that does not fade for generations ....."

  • yes kelly it is sad ain't it ! at least the EIRE is no different than the rest of the world.Greed, power and murder. its one race HUMAN. But it has been a lot less violent than in the past.

  • @kelleyclip well said man.

  • When one needs a confession to get a conviction to garner the headlines that will give a fake air of "justice" to one's reputation come election or appointment time, civil systems have failed. It goes beyond a question of good or evil in the souls of the players, to a deep crack in the very heart of the game. That said, good people CAN and WILL choose another game.

  • AHHAHAHAHA plenty of slap and tickle.

  • It still happens today, lets hope it doesn't take as long for people to catch on the PSNI do it than they did with the RUC...

  • fuck you irish we done no sutch thing by the way im not english im sottish we took over 2 well the pro

  • @JesusPaid4You that is a very immature outlook.how can you stay anchored in the past, and what good is an eternal life that is so static.your beliefs are motivated by fear.If you really want to know what JC was talking about read Marks gospel, compare it to Krishnamurti,Ramana maharshi,orNisargadatta maharaj, dont waste your life.Deep down you know your beliefs are getting you nowhere. You are seeking pleasure not truth.questioning beliefs is the sincere quest for truth and its rewards are infinite

  • @JesusPaid4You bible basher alert! bring your religion elsewhere you asswipe

  • @kelleyclip

This kind of bigotry cost the lives of my fellow countrymen. Painting a world in black or white in a world of gray areas. Truth is we are generally a lot more like each other, compared to any other people, than we would like to admit.

  • @kelleyclip youre an absolute idiot..u think us in the north arent irsh just because of an artificial border you prick! my grandfather fought in the war of independance you prick

  • @JesusPaid4You What does your statement have to do with the subject matter?

  • im english. and this is barbaric, loyalists dont deserve to call themselves british.

  • Damn bible thumpers...... Christ is wayto the devil!! Repent!

  • needs subtitles

  • @themandude20 me too lmao!

  • islam is satan

  • @1Waddup whats islam to do with it.

  • @robertemmet04 tell me about it. now see how people are quiet when it comes to christian murderers. compare comment on this clip to the vitriol the same people pour over the minaret clips in austria. Ireland is is a failed english colony .

  • @robertemmet04 cus islam is a wicked religion

  • @1Waddup all religions are wicked waddup.

  • @MrNornironfan Blah Blah Blah

  • Screw the Irish. Both of em. Ginger bastards.

  • @welcomegohome What do you mean both of them?

  • @welcomegohome they are not ginger for the most part.have you been there ? most of them are brunettes, a crop up north is ginger , its a stereotype.

  • Good video, if the peelers/ RUC couldnt get info from known republicans they just resorted to beating it out of them, which in my eyes was a good way !

  • The English are evil creatures. The Celts should break from England.

  • @bondsan Yes the English are so popular these days everyone loves them.

  • @762full 72% of english people do go on holiday where other english people are? yeah thats how popular they are ohh and you see english bars all over the world? yeahhhhhh rite lol......TIOCFAIDH AR LA.....OUR DAY WILL COME .

  • @robertemmet04 The only thing that is left for England is a crappy little country with tiny houses, CCTV, poverty, drug addicts, and rundown airports.

  • @762full What is it exactly, the English want from the Celts. I know they have been trying to destroy them since the 1800's. Seems like, they would give up by now.

  • @susan1v I credit it to the English desire to rule over everyone on planet, and to crown themselves as lords or something. If they're willing to sail around the world to take over anything that they can get away with, be assured that they'll have fun wreaking havoc on the next door neighbor

Thankfully their influence and power have decreased since the old days, and their immediate vicinity is the only place that they can still boss

When the SNP wins independence I'll throw a series of parties

  • @762full I'm just afraid that it may never happen. :-(

  • @someman7 According to history, and especially the events in the past 10 years, it will :)

Then again, it was always meant to happen.

  • @762full events such? perhaps i'm not familiar with recent developements, but it seemed to me that a referendum is postponed again and again, waiting for people to change their minds (or rather, that new generations used to be under UK rule become of age).

  • @someman7 That would be devolution of a Scottish parliament, and incremental migration of power from London to Endinburgh in terms of taxation, foreign affairs, sovereignty, etc.

The fact that a referendum is no longer beyond imagination is an achievement enough, as the English for so long have been keeping it out of mind.

  • @762full tell me, why did the queen appear on NI national tv recently?

  • @762full Could you send me some videos where I can learn more about the SNP Independence? I want to know the history and what they have overcome so far as a party. Thanks.

  • @762full I blame white people in general

  • @762full And I suppose Scotland has a clean slate of history in terms of violence, pillage and rape?

  • @susan1vanity THERE BIGOTS CHARA

  • up the RA!

  • @autonomousthrace I don't know why foreigners spout slogans not native to their country.

  • @sourcemaster For me its a sign of respect and support

  • Gee now what conflict in the world did this remind you of today?

  • @theslimeylimey That 'conflict' is still going on. At the moment the British and Irish governments and their agents who had infiltrated the highest levels of Republican and Unionist terror groups have decided to play an elaborate propaganda game which their media is happy to 'report'. The north of Ireland is still occupied by British forces. Soldiers, policemen and others are still being shot and blown up while the gangs still hold their respective communities in a tight grip.

  • @guydecervens I didn't know that actually. The conflict I was referring to was Iraq/Afghanistan and the so called war on terror.
