  • I'm always disappointed when any politician bows to jesus freaks just to avoid answering questions with straight answers. Unfortunately, there are very few leaders that will stand up to a church even if that church is run by a group of pedophiles. It's sad.

  • Nancy Pelosi = Sith lord

  • Above his paygrade? For real? A child could've answered that question more quickly, more confidently, and more convincingly.

  • Want to know how to lie with a staight face? - Botox!!

  • She does manage to talk out of her bum on every issue. But as we all know, she is from Calif....what would one expect? God have mercy on her and every other "Catholic" politician that votes pro-abortion rather than pro-life. I'm sure if they get to Purgatory they will spend the time changing the diapers of all those who they allowed to die in the womb.

  • Amazing how the idiots in the Bay Area vote for this skank ho. she is pathetic - as stupid as Boxer. My God people. Are you all really that stupid? Just listen to what she says about everything. She is senile.

  • Check out planned parenthood eugenics, racism, exposed on youtube.

  • i wish this skank would die of bleeding aids infested rectal warts.....this pig is too dumb for words,,,,FUUCK YOU PELOSI!!!!!!

  • AMERICA needs to reunite to take back the country and support John Dennis!

  • Whether you're a scientist or a preacher, life begins at conception. If it's not a baby, you're not pregnant. Now, the point at which the government decides to assign that baby the right to live... that's what we're REALLY arguing about. Hopefully someday they'll get it right.

  • Nancy Pelosi is a hypocritial skank ass , baby killing bitch !

  • She is absolutely disgusting!!!!

Where was she spawn from? She stinks and looks like a freak=azoid. She truly is the wicked one.

    Burn pelosi.

  • What a BITCH. Speaker of the House. Get away from my Catholic Church you Satanic evil woman.

  • beebaron, that is very wrong of you to say you are catholic and called a woman that word. I dont like mrs Pelosi either and I think is tragic to hear her say that she is catholic when in fact she is pro-choice.

  • To pickeled Bill . Join some other church. As a practcing Catholic I would be offended to sit nesxt to you in a Catholic House of God.There is no such thing as pro-choice Catholic.Either your Catholic or your not, you Pickeled Bill are not.

  • There should be a law STATING if you knowingly conceive a child, then you are forbiddin to abort the child. OTHERWISE, stop fucking.

  • Actually, the right to have an abortion is protected as a fundemental right by the Constitution of the United States. You are free to try and change the law, though. However, speaking as a pro-choice catholic, I would not support your efforts because I am an American first and a catholic second.

  • WRONG, if you are catholic you must be pro-child,pro-woman,pro-life

  • OBAMA/POLSI 2012!!

  • YEAAA!!!!!

  • You cant even spell you dumfuck!

  • medically life can be determined by brain activity and heart beat, this begins at around 3 weeks of development. individuals can be differentiated by using DNA technology. I am stating that if the fetus (baby) has brain activity and the fetus has a different DNA than the mother, then aborting the baby is murder. Logically this is the only conclusion that can be made with these facts.

  • I have seen the sonograms of my tiny babies inside of me. All the scientific blah, blah, blah means nothing to me. I know when life begins and no scientist will coax me into believeing otherwise! I am going with my most basic female instincts on this one!

  • Thank God no one really cared about this distinction during the election.

The law aught to allow abortions, b/c under no basis besides Christian doctrine can you make the claim that life begins at conception. At conception, it is literally a bundle of cells, and fails to meet any scientific rubric of life (independent homeotosis, metabolism, etc).

On social issues, the right wants BIG government. Their abortion policy is tantamount to legislating when, and with whom, you can have sex.

  • so, in your opinion, abortion isn't the taking of a life?

  • First I personaly don't believe in abortion. I simply except responsibility for my actions. I do not believe abortion is part of birth control. There are plenty of other methods out there. Don't want kids use them. I do believe that if there is a case of incest or rape abortion should be able to be used. Since the woman/girl did not make a decision. There is no need to make that person a victom twice and it is not mandatory if they choose to keep said child then so be it. Just a though.

  • i actually am pro- life for the most part as well. i think if the pregnant woman's life is in danger then abortion is necessary. otherwise, teenagers who know the risks on getting pregnant by having sex getting abortions once their bad actions catch up to them is wrong. they could just have the child and put it up for adoption.

  • Agreed if the mothers life is in danger then it should be an option. I have two great healthy kids and it is wonderful being a father. Of course I waited until I was older to get "sloppy" with birth control. LOL

  • haha.

  • why do you believe abortion in normal cases is wrong? if it is because you think that it is unlawful to take human life, then the situation in terms of the existence of life is the same in the case of rape and incest, and you should not be against it in any case

  • I don't. I believe that abuse of it is. Being a father I have grown to appreciate life more. You won't see me holding up signs or chaining myself to doors. Everybody has to live by there own personal code. There own Ethics and rules. I would never ask to speak for the masses or push for harsh legislation. That is not my place . I would never abort any child I helped to create. Just my opinion. Just a thought.

  • Don't let anyone get you done ritewing. Seems like you care so keep up the good work.

  • oh and ritewing...you are on the wrong side of history buddy...the world will be better when you're kind is gone

  • Wow how hitler of you. You can't stand people with diffrent opinion so they need to die. HMM sad for you.

  • no no no....i can stand different opinions when it comes to different flavors of ice cream. but when it comes to ritewing idiots like oreilly and coulter and limbaugh and hannity that are spewing their hate around the world, that i will not accept. people like you see things so black and white. like that abortion comment you made. you dont believe in abortion? shut up, you're a man. you cant even get pregnant, who cares what you think. so is a rape victim a sinner for aborting her child?

  • First there can't be a far right without a far left. In my opinion both sides are wrong the answer lies in the middle. I do not see things black and white everything is a shade of grey there is no black and white which is why the far left and right are always wrong. This is where your far left stance shines out, and you become wrong, And you obviously did not read my post all the way through or you would have realized I'm an athiest.

  • religious people are weak and stupid and are the worst threat to society.

  • yeah mroy88, religous people want America to got into debt by the trillions so that we, the US, can get a nice hyper inflation. Oh wait, that's Barrack Obama's plan. My bad. Any comments douche bag?

  • you are void of any intellect...hows that?

  • void of intellect? Did you see Obama's budget? It has the biggest deffict in history. I think we should pray that china will lend us more money or else we have to print the money in order to spend the required amount, which leads to hyper inflation. That is our biggest threat.

  • No they are not it is the extreme people which includes far left as well as right. I know plenty of people deep in there religions that are not weak or stupid. Your generalizing ....oh and i'm an athiest.

  • "Ardent practicing Catholic"

    !

I almost spit up my cereal when I heard that! I think I got milk in my nose at the very least.

Such poor representation is a prime example of why people think Catholics are what they are not.

This woman is a tool of the devil

  • 1n354a

    You were born after'73

This means after you already existed with your own dna, & unique genetic code that will only exist with you & no one else, your mother had a right to legally pay to have a person stick a medical knife in her womb, cut up/off your limbs, slice your torso in half, decapitate you then vacuum you out as waste.

How does it feel knowing that by your own belief, you are nothing more then a "choice" Mom said "yes" to,&that 25% of your peers did not survive being a "choice"?

  • Only 25%? If you take into consideration the number of fertilized eggs the body aborts prior to even attaching to the uterine wall, aborted by the body in early stages of pregnancy, aborted by accident, aborted on purpose, die during birthing...I think that you could easily bump pre-birth mortality rates up to 80-85%.

As for my existence being nothing more than a choice, it doesn't bother me much at all. After all, my mother could have also dumped me in a trash can shortly after birth...

  • or she could have left me in an adoption clinic where I would waste away over a number of years, or she could have made any number of other choices about my life. Continually pondering about all these things is not healthy.

  • 1n3, wasting away a number of years in an adoption clinic when there are 2 million couples waiting to adopt? Comparing natural miscarriage to willful surgical abortion?

Dude! Where's your sense? If you are going to debate the abortion topic, try to stay in the jurisdiction of reasonable logic.

  • 1n354a, so the body naturally miscarries for many reasons. To use this to support you belief in a woman's legal right to choose abortion is like saying we should support a parent's right to suffocate their children in their sleep because of SIDs statistics, or a person's right take a sledgehammer to their neighbor's car because nearly everyone has a car accident where the vehicle is severely damaged.

  • While I do think that there should be limits (i.e. no late term abortions unless medically necessary, parental notification for minors)and I personally don't agree with using abortions as a birth control, I don't agree that a woman loses all personal rights when she gets pregnant.

Should a lawyer be assigned to each fetus at time of conception? Should the mother be tried for child abuse if she doesn't eat and exercise accordingly?

I guess it's just a matter of opinion.

  • 1n354a "Should a lawyer be assigned to each fetus at time of conception?"

Have you had one since your birth?

"Should the mother be tried for child abuse if she doesn't eat and exercise accordingly?"

If someone punches her in the stomach they do. The answer lies in the intent of the action

"it's just a matter of opinion"

    is opinion what determines life?

If it is, then raise your kids well or don't get old. Otherwise they may disagree with your opinion that you have a right to live

  • Yes actually in this case you could say that opinion determines what is life. For instance I could say that in my opinion life doesn't begin until the fetus has been born...where as I assume your opinion is that life begins at conception. Currently the opinion of the US courts parallels my opinion and not your opinion. This may change, or not.

In the end, we are talking about a matter of different opinions.

  • And when the current opinion of the U.S. courts paralleled the opinion of slave owners that kidnapped africans or those born into slavery were also property, and not humans with a right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, would you have also agreed with that?

    If so, why?

    If not, why?

  • What the hell does that have to do with anything?

Start making sense about anything and we would all be very happy.

  • 1n354a,

    speak for yourself.

I and others believe sarcasticwhip makes perfect sense.

    And we are happy.

  • I did speak for myself...and his last post still makes no sense in the discussion about when life begins. If you feel that it does and you are happy about it, good on ya!

  • 1n354a,

you did not speak for yourself, you spoke for all.

"Start making sense about anything and we would all be very happy."

    You clearly said all.

Speak for yourself and yourself alone. SarcasticWhip makes sense when he talks about the similarities between slavery and abortion.

  • 1n3, sarc was comparing legalized abortion to legalized slavery. They are alike because such laws claim that human beings have no right to life unless their owners said they do.

Just because there are laws that say it's o.k. to own human life, doesn't make it so.

sarc, I think you may need to explain it to the level of intelligence 1n3 has been exhibiting. I'm having difficulty stepping that low.

  • That is true - you are a shining light of intellect in my world of darkness.

I am unaware of laws that state that unborn fetus' have no rights...where as there were plenty of laws making this claim about salves. Could you please list any such laws so I can become better educated?

  • 1n3

"I am unaware of laws that state that unborn fetus' have no rights...Could you please list any such laws so I can become better educated?"

    Roe v Wade

If a unborn child does not have a right to life, how can any other right matter? The legality of Roe V Wade prohibits the unborn from having the ability to have any other rights, for without the right to life, all other rights are moot

Are you able to name me one right a person can benefit from if they are not allowed to live?

  • Roe v Wade protects the mother's rights to her body up to the point that the fetus becomes viable, which is somewhere between 24 and 28 weeks.

This Supreme Court ruling does not state that an unborn fetus has no rights, so you need to look for another example of a law that specifically removes all rights from an unborn fetus.

  • 1n3,

"Roe v Wade protects the mother's rights to her body up to the point that the fetus becomes viable, which is somewhere between 24 and 28 weeks."

    Incorrect.

Roe V Wade states that a woman has a "right" to abort her child's body up to the moment of birth.

Thanks to Roe v Wade, the unborn have no right to life if their mother chooses them not to have it. Therefore they have no rights at all, for without an unconditional right to life, no other rights matter.

  • (c) For the stage subsequent to viability the State, in promoting its interest in the potentiality of human life, may, if it chooses, regulate, and even proscribe, abortion except where necessary, in appropriate medical judgment, for the preservation of the life or health of the mother. Pp. 163-164; 164-165.

And I thought your god did not like liars. You shame yourself, your religion and your god. Do your damn research from places other than pro-life websites.

  • How am I a liar? Abortion is legal throughout all 9 months of pregnancy. The quote you posted even states as much in so many words.

As for shaming myself, my religion, and my God. It is very obvious that you know very little, if anything of these. You may THINK you do, but assuredly you do not. Therefore you have no base to be able to determine if shame is mine in regards to myself, my religion or my God.

  • As for my "damn research", it comes mostly from my personal experience with a good number of post-abortive women and medical staff related to my field of work.

    aka: Reality

For you to desire to swear as you did, I obviously struck a chord which you would've preferred to have been kept silent.

  • Intent means nothing - if she has a bad diet, drinks, smokes, doesn't exercise and so on, she is either killing her fetus or causing it massive amounts of damage. Shouldn't the rights of the fetus be honored? Or do they only matter sometimes and not during other times?

  • 1n354a.

Intent means everything in a court of law. Whether people are convicted of a crime or not is greatly based on their intent.

  • Who in the hell votes for this dumb bitch? The people in California really must be stupid, with all of the fags and freaks it's no wonder she stays in office. Are there any normal people in California? Vote her out!

  • WHY ISNT SHE IMPEACHING BUSH+CHENEY

  • You know, you have a point. When the Democrats got into congress, they said they were gonna get us out of the war and all this left-sided wishes they wanted. But yet, we're still in the war. We keep sending troops. And, it's blamed all on Bush. And while he is a rather ineffective president, if congress really wanted out of the war and such, they could do it anytime they wanted.

But, they don't. As a matter of fact, what HAS congress done since Pelosi was their leader?

  • because once congress has declared a war, policy issues on the ground rest solely in the hands of the commander in chief, and all they can do is to use their spending power to cut funds, which no one obv. wants. as president she could bring them home tho... oh it's all there, in that little book called the constitution..

  • Pelosi is but a "blip". What a turd that "typical democrat person" is.

The Bible has TRUE and CLEAR definitions in when life begins. At CONCEPTION.

Whether it be two cells or a trillion, it's a viable human being. From conception to death we have right to life. Also, at death we are INSTANTLY in the presence of the Lord. Fake preachers have us believe that we wait rotting til Jesus comes again. They are WRONG.

  • She has got to go. Enough is enough.

  • life begins when she fucking quits

  • If abortion were to become illegal, why would women have to go back to "COAT HANGER" abortions? The medical"sterile" instruments would still be available.

That s a juvenile arguement at best.

  • how did anyone vote for this stupid bitch

  • we really need a secular kind of morality that is based on human experience and progressive deliberation. these christians are so arrogant to implicitly assume that they have the monopoly of knowledge about what is right or wrong. their morality is as backward as their theology. there is no progress in catholic/christian conventionalist morality and theology. they belong to a bygone period in history. let them RIP guys.

  • science has proven that the dna of the embryo(human) is a seperate identity,it is not the mommy's body as some of you sheeple think, the issue is not about the woman's right to choose,as you sheeple think,it's about deliberate refusal to admit you are killing humans, every crossroad is choice i agree, however at leastadmit when you choose to murder call it that, don't say fetus, say baby, don't say abortion, say murder, don't say embryo, say human. Then CHOOSE.After all..it is your choice. All action=coice

  • Very well said... I agree... Religion aside, these idiots can't admit that a baby's heart starts beating as early as 4 weeks... I know this for a fact because I saw the sonogram of my twins at 5 weeks and I saw, and heard their heartbeats...

  • there should me a legislation against making any religious issues important in any election. religious issues are not relevant due to the separation of the church and the state. it is morally wrong to judge a candidate's qualifications to run for public office on the basis of his/her religious views on issues like abortion or when life begins. not all voters are christians/religious. we have to grow up people.

  • our moral laws are from jewish/christian beliefs..thou shalt not kill(murder),thall shalt not steal, many sub laws beyond the 10,abusing the innocents, giving divorce certificates to women instead of stoning them, thank moses and jesus for that one ladies, laws about child abuse"it would be better for mill stone tied around your neck and tossed into the sea if you were to harm one of these little ones".Jesus said it.you might want to go to pre war iraq with your logic to see your results

  • First of all, dummy... There is no such thing as the separation of church and state. Nowhere in our constitution will you find the phrase "separation of church and state" It is a made up phrase by leftist atheists... Look it up if you don't believe me... I think it is a valid question to anyone running for President as to when they think an unborn child has a right to something that is in our constitution. The right to life and liberty...

  • So Thomas Jefferson and James Madison were leftist atheists? I think you should research again to verify the accuracy of your statement.

I think that they candidates should also let the women know when their right to control their own body ends and the candidates personal beliefs begin.

The right to life and liberty...

  • 1n354a,

when a woman is able to walk away from a surgery she elected to have, which stops a heart from beating, it is not her body she controlled. If it was, she would be dead.

  • She has the absolute right to her body - not you, not your church, and not your god(s). While I personally don't agree with abortions unless absolutely necessary, I also don't agree with people telling others what they are and are not allowed to do to their own body.

  • "I also don't agree with people telling others what they are and are not allowed to do to their own body."

But you do believe that a person has a right to force their choices on someone else's body.

I repeat, when a woman stops a heart that is beating within her body, and she continues to live, she did not stop the beating of her heart, she stopped the beating of someone else's heart. The choice she made was not about her body, but about someone else's body.

That my friend, is called slavery

  • No, my dear friend that is not slavery. Slavery would be somebody else being in control of what she does when it comes to her own body.

You may not agree with her decision, but that is nothing more than your opinion.

  • "Slavery would be somebody else being in control of what she does when it comes to her own body."

You mean like a mother being in control of whether her unborn child lives or dies?

    Once again, I will repeat.

When a woman goes into an abortion clinic with two hearts beating within her body and walks out with only one heart beating within her body, what she had done was not done to her body, but to someone else's body. aka slavery.

If she had done something to her body, she'd be dead.

  • Continually repeating the same blatherings over and over again does not make them anything other than your opinion - an opinion which is horrible and disrespectful to women everywhere.

Do you think that they should cover their hair and ankles as well? Remain in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant?

    How very progressive of you.

  • What I was repeating is scientific fact, not an opinion, not blathering.

Nor was it disrespectful toward women.

    Prove me wrong.

Present to me a woman whose blood flows through two beating hearts within her body.

"Do you think that they should cover their hair and ankles as well? Remain in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant?"

What has that to do with anything I posted? Besides if that is what they wish to do with their body, who are you to say they are not progressive?

  • What happens if a woman "with two hearts" doesn't eat well, or drinks a lot during pregnancy, or exercises too much or too little and subsequently miscarries...do you agree that she should be brought up on charges? Should the fetus have a lawyer from conception?

To what extent would you suggest taking this approach?

  • "What happens if a woman "with two hearts" doesn't eat well, or drinks a lot during pregnancy, or exercises too much or too little and subsequently miscarries...do you agree that she should be brought up on charges?"

What is her intent? Is it the loss of life for her unborn baby?

"Should the fetus have a lawyer from conception?"

Do we have a lawyer from birth since it is illegal for someone to choose to take our lives after we are born?

  • It doesn't matter what her intent is...it is known that these things can hurt a fetus' development/viability, so if she does these things she is guilty; just as somebody speeding through a neighborhood unintentionally hits a child playing...they are guilty regardless of their intent.

How about the woman's spouse? Accessory to murder?

  • Also it is silly to think that in making abortion illegal it will be putting women who choose one in jail. This is an argument promoted by proabortioni$t$ that has no substance.

What will happen to post-abortive women will be the same thing that happens to the people who commit the illegal act of attempting suicide. They will receive the help they obviously need.

What will happen to the abortioni$t$ will be the same thing that happens to murderers, which is what they are, some admit it now

  • So you lump women who have abortions in with those who have suicidal tendencies? And doctors who perform abortions are murderers? Strange way of thinking about things.

I can only say that I hope you pro-lifers never get your way - what a scary world it would be.

  • The very first words of the Bill of Rights: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.

Sounds like the founders are suggesting that church and state keep their distance from each other, Imax1971. Please keep your church out of my government, and i'll keep my government out of your church.

  • everyman, "Sounds like the founders are suggesting that church and state keep their distance from each other"

no, they are saying that the state cannot force a particular religion on it's peoples.

Very different from what you percieve it to say. You should study up a bit more on the Founding Fathers.

  • On the contrary: The idea that life begins at conception is a religious belief. To make laws regulating doctors based on that religious belief is to force a particular religion on the people. There's no getting around that basic truth.

  • littletuny, this is simply not true.

An easily located website has this to say, and then follows it with a long list of documentation written by doctors and research scientists.

"As surprising as this may be to some people, there is no debate within the medical community as to when life begins. Life begins at conception. Therefore, every "succesful" abortion ends the life of a living human being, and we're not asking you to take our word for it."

    Also check out "godlessprolifers"

  • "Physicians, biologists, and other scientists agree that conception marks the beginning of the life of a human being - a being that is alive and is a member of the human species. There is overwhelming agreement on this point in countless medical, biological, and scientific writings." (Subcommittee on Separation of Powers, U.S. Senate 1981)

The question, littletuny, in the minds of "prochoice" people is not Life, but "personhood". So the right to life, is not determined on life, but personhood

  • An official quote offered as proof is given a thumbs down??

It seems like someone doesn't like to hear facts when it interferes with their belief of untruth

  • sarc, I've been reading a few of your posts here, and I have to tell you

You're really not living up to your name nor that which I've seen you post before.

You're losing your touch dude, lol

  • yah, I've been a bit distracted.

I'll have to work on that Salted, lol

(applies a dressing to the whip)

  • nancy pelosi got her facts wrong on this one, the catholic chuch stated about 2000 years ago that life begins at conception.

  • i just HAVNT slept with my girl, have i killed someone by that?!!? church is a sinonym for non-thinker.

  • i guess you"HAVNT" got a brain either. Please don't sleep with your girl we don't need another idiot in this world

  • thx, ill take that under consideration ;)

but i do indeed have a brain, and man its thinking wayyy to much sometimes, maybe i should just shut the hell up like all the sheeps in the church and live my life accepting anything someone throws at me.

but than again, that be veeery boring.

and since you made no point on the topic of abortion what so ever i could easily call you an idiot and a spammer ,but that wouldnt help would it?!

  • "i just HAVNT slept with my girl, have i killed someone by that?!!? church is a sinonym for non-thinker."

armatus, dude, you need some serious training in basic logic. My only conclusion is that you were stoned when you wrote that.

  • well, i hadnt slept alot, thats true, i just make the point that the position of the church abortion = kill is insane.

  • Dude, do everyone a favor and go back to sleep!

  • Abortion will happen whther it is legal or not. Better that it is perfromed in a hospital than in a street with a coat-hanger like in the 50's.

Catch up with the rest of the modern world!

  • "Abortion will happen whther it is legal or not. Better that it is perfromed in a hospital than in a street with a coat-hanger like in the 50's.

Catch up with the rest of the modern world!"

You might want to read the statistics on abortion before making comments like that. Women, who have been injured or killed during an abortion is at a much higher rate since Roe v Wade. Yes it may still happen, but to say we need to catch up to the modern world is rediculous.

  • You think that a society that kills it's young is more civilized? I'd say that a society that kills it's most innocent and most vulnerable is barbaric and not very civilized. I think one day we'll look back on this time and say to ourselves. 'I cannot believe we were so barbaric and uncaring that we actually killed off our own race (human).'

  • matt, yea, I guess getting cut up with a sterile instrument is a lot better than getting poked to death with a coat hanger.

  • Thats pretty much the argument: death by sterile instrument or coathanger that will probably kill the mother too. That may sound harsh, but it's reality.

Abortion has always and will always happen. We should deal with it in the most humane way possible.

    Peace

  • mattleroi, let me follow your logic here.

Bank robbery will happen whether it is legal or not. Better that it is performed with a professional team of assasins than by amatures with a hand gun.

For the life of me, I can not understand how someone justifies something because it will continue to happen if it is made illegal. I guess we should make murder legal too since murders are going to happen anyway. How does one conclusion justify another?

  • Why is it so many Catholics that are in public service are also Democrats and support the murder of babies. When Christ said "Suffer the little children"I don't think he ment for the Democrats/Catholics to kill them. Does anybody know of any books on how to lead a Democrat/Catholic to Christ.

  • First of all, Do not confuse Democrats with the Catholic Church. I am a Catholic, but not a Democrat. The Catholic Church teaches STRONGLY against abortion. Catholics like Pelosi are frauds that go against the teaching of the Church. Please know the difference. If you want to know what the Church teaches on this, then you should look it up in the Catechism. But do not slander all Catholics because of ignorant ones like Pelosi.
