  • METAL Y PUNK POR SIEMPRE Y EL Q DIGA Q EL BLACK METAL NO SE INFLUYO DEL PUNK Q SE JODA X Q TANTO EL CRUST COMO EL BLACK METAL SE INFLUENCIARON ENTRE SI

  • @headbangerXx666xX Amebix por ejemplo, fue creada antes que Venom. Tenés toda la razón campeón!

  • hm... i don't get warm with it. i don't like the vocals on theyr newer albums

  • This sounds like alot of the old japanese punkmetal bands. Nice!

  • VenomThrone!!

  • notice the Nocturnal shout out

  • viking metal punks, forever!

  • this reminds me of G.i.s.m.

  • It's crust punk! :)

  • basically they went back to the old venom and possessed days ... i love it

  • fucking bad

  • Motorthrone?

  • @TheOnlyAttrition Motörthrone, the fucking umlaut!

  • hey.crust is getting popular...

whatever bm was always punkish to me in production, simplicity and fuck off atitude.

who sings on here?it sounds funny.

  • @scumgrinder Nocturno Culto i think since he usually sings

  • @Traductus5972 It's Fenriz singing on this track

  • @Gaiddj wow i never knew that, that's awesome

  • @Traductus5972 He does several tracks on each of the new albums

  • fucking up the crusts!!

  • sounds like celtic frost

  • When Fenriz and Nocturno Culto are older, they will become "cracking metal punks" ! lol

  • CRUST!!!! its goodddd

  • "true, hard, raw and crusty"

  • not bad, but this ain't Darkthrone

  • @mnditx No, it is Darkthrone.

  • sounds like gism

  • Wasn't Black Metal influnced by punk, Im pretty sure that Black Metal had punkish riffs.

  • @lordsaddler3 Wise words my fellow!!!

  • punk fuck great

  • metal punx live!

  • this is fucking GREAT!!!!!!!!!

  • Metal Punk or die !!!!

  • I'm more into punk but i really like heavy metal !

  • look at venom perfect example of original black metal

  • Whoa way different from their old stuff. Awesome stuff, though! Might just be me, but this kinda reminds me of GISM.

  • Punk, metal, who cares? It's fucking Darkthrone and it is awesome! Quit bitching about genres and enjoy the music!

  • viking metal punks forever!

  • i miss the old darkthrone, with the monotone drumming and primitive black metal, but this is ok

  • May the ties between metalheads and punks always be strong and forever! \m/

  • sounds like someone has been listening to G.I.S.M.

  • hellyeah blackened punk-metal. this reminds me of the norwegian band 666 \m/

  • Many people also forget that Mayhem were heavily influenced by Parabellum (Colombia) who were of course influenced by their countries violent HC scene and Discharge.

  • man cross over was the best time for metal/punk... even bands like suicidal tendencies is crossover.. its a scene in its self.. metal/ punk not gt along? wtf man..d.r.i., motorhead . anthrax is the early years and plenty others were that mix of punkand hardcore/ metal.. people really need to do there homework before makeing stupid comment on a site that is about music of all kinds... not just metal or punk.. long live black metal and crossover! nyXhc wwXbm

  • A cross between Discharge and Venom and Amebix!

  • cool

  • @Revolusi whoa dude chill, wasnt me that posted the comment it was my friend so take the dick out of ur ass n chill

  • darkthrone will never be lame. they know how to keep the real black metal sprite without playing black metal

  • punk music and metal music will forever have a rivalry. no matter how hard bands try to mix punk n metal together, it will not work. Metal!!!!!!

  • @Sexyvanian Dude, what's wrong with you? punk and metal NEVER had a rivalry. Plus, punk influence in heavy metal music is huge and undeniable. Did you know thrash metal is essencially NWOBHM plus the attitude and aggression of hardcore punk? Did you know that Quorthon of Bathory (first black metal band) was influenced primarily by Motörhead, Discharge, G.B.H. and The Exploited in the begginings? Don't forget Crossover is an entire genre blending hardcore punk/thrash metal. What about Mötorhead?

  • @rudisimo666

I don't disagree with the spirit of your post, but

for a lot of metallers and punks, back in the day,

there were serious rivalries, though there

have always been evolved primates that "get it"

    and see beyond the fashion!

    NO GODS NO MASTERS

  • @Sexyvanian

the only thing that madders,is what you think abbout both styles of music. And I think Fenriz would say the same thing;-)

  • @BenhexenForest fool! i never agree to that.

  • @Sexyvanian Are you serious? THRASH IS FUCKING HARDCORE AND NWOBHM MIXED TOGETHER!

  • this is a great drinkin song.since im more of a punk than a metal guy and all my friends are just metal guys so this is a nice middle point for me

  • this is a great drinkin song.since im more of a punk than a metal guy and all my friends are just metal guys so this is a nice comprimis

  • This shit sucks and if you don't like it, go put a dynamite stick up your ass and light it up.

  • DTABF and CTW are just perfect albums

3 people need to be assfucked by justin bieber

  • EY! Des Ding da hatn NOCTURNAL patch auf der jacke!!

    All Hail to NOCTURNAL!!!!!!!

  • This album is the present of the Gods from the Dark Throne !

  • I love hiking, punk and metal , and also darkthrone

  • To me, the current punk/classic metal era of Darkthrone is their best era. This song is the best of said era, in my opinion.

  • This sounds like Amebix but angrier , love it.

  • black metal started by punk ,as punk started from rock, and rock who started from jazz and other genres...there is no point refering the roots of each genre...every genre is unique.

darkthrone was black metal and will be black metal whatever they deside to play.if that its punk, death metal or anything.

  • Both Fenriz and Nocturno Culto did vocals on the albums. This one is the vocals of Fenriz.. \m/

  • Love this song! I also like THE WINDS! THEY CALLED! THE DUNGEON SHAKEEEERRRR!! \m/

  • @kirkscream YEAH THAT ONE IS AWESOME!!! Witch Ghetto is Awesome TOO!

  • 1:52 epic fenriz howl

  • not as good

  • blackened crust

  • Punk inspired Raw Metal and the 1st extreme metal bands. Listen to Venom. Compare Amebix (pioneers of Crust Punk, who mixed Crust Punk and Speed Metal) with Celtic Frost and Hellhammer. Fenriz and Nocturno Culto make the music they like, that´s admirable.

  • im just so bored about the "modern black metal" thing that the oldschool Venom style stuff tastes so much better. Hiking Metal Punks. That reads on my leather jacket!

  • Metal Punk Death Squad!

  • THIS IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS THINK AND IAM so sad of it darkthrone started as a black metal gone to death then speed and now punk iam so sad....for this...we lost a great a band after 2000 iam so sad.....bb old good darkthrone this is just fucking sad !

  • @Mamonian12

They were death metal turned black metal, not the other way around.

  • @Mamonian12 Fuck you, asshole.

  • oh shitt .... sounds like GISM ...

now thats called being loyal to the roots ... Darkthrone till death ...

  • @brutallythrashed Heh, you're right, this does sound like GISM. A little bit of "Endless Blockades For The Pussyfooter" in the vocals.

  • i just say FANTASTIC. this is black metal : you can feel the punk elements that inspired bands such as celtic frost and venom! love that. now this 'spirit' is forgotten, pity.

  • This album reminds me of GISM,Great album DarkThrone Kicksass

  • Most people I have met in the crust scene are inspired by black metal.

  • Its true the bands that inspired BM where themselfs inspired by punk

    Sodom,Venom,Celtic Frost ect

These albums show great musical maturity

  • Hiking Metal punks! ... FOREVER!!!

If Darkthrone played gigs, this would sure be a live sing-along favorite.

  • dark throne always has influenced by punk bands

  • Dark Thrones And Black Flags. A combination of classic extreme/black metal and old-school hardcore punk, as the name of the album (indirectly) implies. (pretty directly, in fact, if one knows what Black Flag is)

    In one word - crossover.

  • @Xeretix

I don't think they're referencing the band "Black Flag", but more using the terms "black flags" for its subversive anarchist overtones. The black flag was the original anarchist symbol, as opposed to the circled A most associated with it now.

  • @Xeretix totally agree

  • @Xeretix the black flag is a traditional anarchist symbol.

  • @Xeretix In one word - metalpunk!

  • FOREVERRRRR!!!

  • Hiking metal punks... FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'd hike to this.....FOREEEEEVEEEEERRRR!

  • @Zer0Funk yes

  • Black Metal have from start Punk elements. Musicans from first wave like Punk. Some black bands sounds like Crust Punk or Anarcho-Punk bands only difference are lyrics. Many people forgotten this fact. Many Punks like metal too, its good. Association between Punk and Metal music is more than today people know.

    Punk&Metal, Metal&Punk power forever!

    Fuck pseudo!

  • That's right!

    Hiking Metal Punks forever!!

  • @MrNordyk very true

  • @MrNordyk Yay Punk and metal which is one of the leading causes of the Core epidemic in metal YAY Lets not have great instrumentals but half ass punk

  • Yay if you have problems with read please back to school Yay I written only in punk/metal subject here Yay if you dont like mixing punk with metal and vice versa why you opened this site Yay

    ----------Hiking Metal Punx Forever!-----------

  • @MrNordyk very good comment. it's one of the reasons why i laugh about national socialist poser bands, it has nothing to do with the original ideas and ideals of black metal at all !!

Black metal is about freedom of mind and the fight against religious suppression, not narrow-minded sheep mentalities (which NS promotes).

Hail to all real Black Metal fans !

  • @MrNordyk That's so true! Punks and metalheads hate the same things too: mainstream, commercial shit and people controling us! :)

  • @MrNordyk Yes, then people who says Darkthrone now is not real Black Metal they don't know what they talk about. It's cool to see how Darkthrone returns to the original BM roots.

  • @MrNordyk Punks and Metalheads always hated each other. Punk and Metal on the other hand loved each other. Sadly I still have to do with the ignorant Punk hating on Metal, or the ignorant Metalhead hating on Punk. They're just too stupid to realize Punks and Metalheads both follow music that relied heavily on each other since their creations.

    Dirty leather Metalpunk 'til death

  • @ThazuaBlackarrow Thats why I am a huge Misfits fan, the best of both worlds. That's as punk as I get, though.

  • @ThazuaBlackarrow you said it man ! we are all on the same side of the fence !

  • @MrNordyk i agree completely. But only true punk and true metal, none of that nu/metalcore crap, and neither shit like sum41 or green day.

  • @MrNordyk

I agree my friend ;) I love both^^ and a lotta bands play a punk/metal fusion like Genöcide,GISM,Bludwulf,Gang Green or COC^^ aand i love em all :) keep i true mate, punx is hippies^^

  • @MrNordyk you're fucking right man, fuck off stupid panda kids who don't know any shit about the metal roots.

  • @MrNordyk 100% true

Face the facts, speed and angst of punk, plus the technicallity and musicainship of rock, created metal.

  • @Mikeskiboshskiisme Technically, Metal came first. And it was much more blues-ridden and classicaly-influenced to simply be Punk + Rock.

A lot of Metal sub-genres are influenced by Punk, and vice versa, but Black Sabbath and Heavy Metal came about a while before Punk did.

  • @ThazuaBlackarrowYour right. Dang it

  • @ThazuaBlackarrow I think that they came about at around the same time, but they didn't really influence each other initially. Punk came around with The Stooges, Bowie, MC5, The Dickies and arguably the Kinks, while metal came around with Led Zeppelin, Blue Cheer, Black Sabbath and King Crimson. On an unrelated note, I think people don't think nearly enough about prog rock when it comes to metal's roots.

    Whatever though, Darkthrone fucking rules.

  • @MrNordyk Very ture my friend, Metal and Punk have always had insperation on each other, its how Grindcore was made.

  • ya know i jsut noticed the fans of crust punk and grindcore are basicly the same crowd as black metal fans so much that when i saw midnight (a black metal band from cleveland) at a show there were a bunch of crust punks there that came to see them. but of course the foreign Scandanavian guy who just seemed to have came to the show just to see midnight.

  • HAIL!DARK THRONE.nice echos.

  • The lead riff halfway in is awesome, and fun to play on guitar. New Darkthrone isn't completely useless.

  • boah pervers ich fick metal was punk

    arab meint auch

  • lulz...darkthrone really does sound sorta crust punk now, but seriously the lyrics are ridiculous. I mean, I'm all about hiking, forests, metal, and punks etc, but seriously, I find these lyrics hilarious! My friend and I are gonna have to listen to this before our next epic hike.

  • Ahaha, I agree. But I don't care much about the lyrics. Instrumentals matter more to me.

But yeah, these lyrics are really lulzy.

  • It's all fairly purposeful. I guess it is only recently that Darkthrone have given us the wink.

  • that and also the fact that the album has been released in vinyl puts it in the early underground crust punk /black metal spirit that has all but forgotten

  • Cool.. But They should put more lyrics
