  • I made a video showing this technique about 26 months ago and go into some more details and entries...people might want to watch

  • Hey steve, or anybody else qualified. I've been using this move in rolling and have been having good success with it. Because of my BJJ background I notice that I triangle my legs, what are the pros and cons, if any, in doing that versus doing it like in this video?

  • hey sambo steve... when are you going to post more videos???

  • U NEED a cup for this! My poor balls:((

  • interesting...

  • Chill out guys. This was filmed during an open mat...everyone was doing their thing. Did you miss anything critical? No. Your complaining here is more annoying that the people in the background of the video.

  • @and1tanker I am no legend, but thanks for the kind words.

  • lol i saw this guy on expertvillage

  • @lightoflothlorien LOL...when I was fatter and with a beard!

  • @sambosteve you're a great instructor btw.

  • cross the other one against the other one. Great advice....

    jk

but seriously, nice move. I cant wait to try it tonight!

  • Really, really good points here. That's something I would never think to do. Cheers!

  • Thats a nice change

  • woh... thats is key for me. i just had a breakthrough here. thanks Steve koepfer and submssions 101 for this upload

  • 1:47 he is so angry that he cant escape

  • I usually do it from a leap from out of north south

  • I do mine a bit different but this concept is great.

  • Stupid phone! *even more effective great tip!

  • My coach has shown this move before but this tip makes it ede

  • good tip

  • Sambo Steve is an awesome teacher

  • @sleepykid156 thanks man!

  • What if, ad nauseam! It's about options, guys.

  • What is it about steves? You can tell a steve a mile away. Even sambosteves

  • what if you hold one leg then he kicks the other free leg to your face?

  • @ehmjay10 if your competing he wont do that coz its illegal.... if your in a street fight then you best be covering up

  • @ehmjay10 He won't have any power to kick hard in that position.

  • niiiiiiiiiice.

  • oiii!!! Very nice I always in this position but I dont know what to do so i go back to side control, but can he get your back? Thank you

  • @and1tanker If you are sitting on his hips, it will be very tough for him to take your back. Try surfing the position for a while to get a feel for it.

  • @sambosteve Thanks, you are a Legend. Keep them coming!

  • this guy is on expert village

  • Awesome! I wish they would bring a couple good Sambo instructors down to Arizona so I could train in Sambo!

  • @mmaaddict480 have me out for a seminar ;)

  • ooh ty.

  • Go Steve!

  • This is great info to have if you squirm out of a rear neck -- Thanks guys

  • @uttoushii usually if you're on the receiving end of an RNC the enforcer has his legs wrapped around your waste if your on your back or has his hooks in if you're in turtle.

  • @groundnpound702 Your hips are also above their hips. That's really the key point.

  • @KJGould I dont think i've ever been in an RNC where my hips are over my opponents hips. usually their pelvis is on my lower back and my legs on the inside of their legs. maybe im crazy though.

  • @groundnpound702 I meant why you won't get choked doing the double trap kneebar, because your hips are above theirs.

  • @KJGould yeah, thats exactly my point to the other poster.

  • sweet! I'm gna do this to the white belts haha.

  • That dude looked like he was getting pissed. Oh, FIRST!

  • fuck yeah its Sambo Steve!!

  • Thanks to Sambo Steve and Kaiser for getting the clip to me ;-)
