Almost his every word is a harpoon at the heart of the amoral, cowardly pygmies who ran New Labour (aka the puppets of Murdoch and the PR men) as their personal fiefdom ...if only every politician (right or left) could speak with such directness and (what is more important these days), sheer humanity !
Noam Chomsky is excellent. John Pilger is also very good; his DVD Docs are well worth a watch. We've no business in Iraq or Afghanistan and should withdraw immediately, which is what we need to keep pressing for.
i was there, travelled from manchester and was kinda hoping if would stay banned but the police shit themselves a few minutes before and said "ok your allowed to march now" we had lots of fun that day. Tony Benn is a legend! left parliment to pursue his interest in politics
I am an American...I live in Los Angeles, California. (Born and raised) I just want to say Tony Benn is the most inspirational political speaker I have ever heard. I knew all along America was just as corrupt as any other government...but Tony Benn makes all of my scattered thoughts and beliefs come into focus. I only hope I will be able to hear him speak live some day and shake his hand and let him know his legacy and fight will be carried on by great patriotic British and American citizens.
The individual may have accidentally trnasposed the consonants and meant to put MP or Member of Parliament. Don't be so cynical. It is easy to transpose letters when typing quickly. Give the individual the benefit of the doubt.

Tony Benn, the only man since Guy Fawkes to enter parliament with good intentions. Bravo Tony, you're a man of principles.

Shut up, Saddam was an ass hole.
...Almost as much of an ass hole as George Bush and the leaders of the U.S. corporations who have caused our government to commit millions of murders.
