Damien has a decent growl and good shrieks. The good thing is this guy sounds more lively, he's not growling in the same way all the time. His stage presence is great! he's very into it and interacts constantly with the crowd.

Benton is good and more guttural, but this guy could sing the Vital early stuff and suit better than Benton.

It would be naive to think that it needs no training (even if the singer is a natural talent)

Thing I love about Vital Remains is the dedication. They put alot of time and effort into their Albums and Songs. Tracks averaging from 6 to 10 Minutes (amazing for Death Metal), amazing solo's and those drums are just perfect. The Singing is great aswell.

In my opinion I prefered Glen Bentons old vocals. The not all to gutteral ones, with the shrieks overtop, it sounded amazing (to bad they only lasted like 2 Albums). His new ones arn't that great, his gutterals sound more just like moans and his shrieks at times sound weak... But hey, after 20 or so years, of course your going to lose your voice.

I have to agree with Emofreak, regardless of his silly name, This guy is good, Scott Wily is kicks ass too, and of course Glen is awesome too. Ive seen Vital with Glen once and with Scott twice. Vital Remains always has a different live lineup everywhere they go, sometimes when I see them theyre tighter than others, but theyre such a fucking kick ass band live and on cd. Theyre pretty untouchable so I cant really see how people are shitting on the singer
