All those lying dead never ever come back.What sacrifice was there in a jesus dying to stop his dad sending everybody to hell.He gets murdered, three days later he's sat with dad as the co-ruler of the universe doing the punishing.Tell me the sacrifice.If he was half god how do you know he didn't FAKE the so called pain you talk of.Over 5 billion other people other than christians don't think the divinity of jesus is obvious.Hindu,muslim,jewish and others don't.Why do you dismiss other religions

There are over 5,400 early gospel manuscripts in existence.The most famous story of Jesus writing in the sand in John re 'Casting the first stone' does not appear in the most reliable gospel manuscripts before 600. The 'love your neighbour' lines were documented 4 to 500 years before by confucius.There are thousands of contradictions in the bible and if it was inspired by a 'holy spirit' there wouldn't be any so if it isn't inspired by a god it means nothing.

The bible happens to be the most unreliable book in existance. There is absolutely no evidence outside this book (Written by later christians) that a man named jesus was divine.I know the Josephus extract well he was born a jew and died a jew it is accepted by most historians that what little was said about a man named jesus was a later entry by christians. If josephus had written this he would have converted. He didn't ....equals unreliable.

The video tells us that a roman soldier pierced the side of Jesus to see if he were dead.

It says that Jesus flowed blood and water from his wound.

When someone dies their heart stops pumping blood so how was it possible that Jesus still passed blood when dead? So it was possible for Jesus to be taken down, put in a cave, had his wounds tended to, spoke to Mary and moved on.

2. You are trying to be skeptical but you are failing miserably because everything, from story, accusations, reputation, testimonies, proofs, is coming from the bible, nothing of all this appears outside the bible.

We have no proof that Jesus existed, that there was a resurrection, that there were any witnesses, the stories about the soldiers, the stone, the disciples sacrifice etc.

1. Please consider that if the whole story was true, the whole thing was not in a big brother playground, and the narrators of the story had received stories passed on from hundreds of people with quite typical over exaggerations and generalizations.

We know by experience that not even the modern news media are capable of producing accurate information.

There are thousands of miracles and fantastic stories from all over the world, different cultures and different religions that have more proof and testimonies than the bible and yet no Christian would even dare listen to them, let alone believe them with the same gullible attitude you have with the bible.

I am not a scholar but I know something about the bible. There are too many hitngs written over 2000 years ago that have come true. One of them was the birth of Christ and His ressurection. You cannot say it is all bull sh-- if you have not taken the time to study. The bible says that the words wiritten therein are foolishness to those that are perishing. No one knows who wrote the first 4 gospels, and they are translations of copies of translations put together by a King who wanted to force religion on the masses. One problem with the question first. Mary saw an empty tomb, not a resurrection. She assumed resurrection.

However, they wrote it that way because its a story, and why not?

Why in Star Wars did Anakin become evil? Why not?

first of all i was referring to archaeological sites in jerusalem to support the gospels. Second if you want an answer about fossils i cant give you answer b/c that is not my area of specialty, however i can refer you as soon as i can. also the bible never says that tIhe sun revolves around us. the catholic church was very superstitious and still us and made that assumption.

if you are talking about the Spanish Inquisition and other Roman Catholic atrocities i agree they were barbaric and that is why i believe that the greatest evil that is done is when it is done in the name of God. Spoke ?, at most I would say mentioned, they both where born after the death of Jesus.

You cannot make such a generalization and expect it to give validity to the whole story.

From these writings we know at most that some story was around.
