  • To: seattwa. this clip was from twenty years ago, BEFORE Albert went gray (now white)

  • Thanks for posting. I miss American Music Shop

  • Looks like Albert dyed his hatr. He was totally gray years ago.

  • Goodwill will be picking up my guitar tomorrow.....

  • As a bassist and bass fan, I'm glad I have the studio version of this with the 6-string bass solo. ;-)

  • Who's that on piano? Great licks!

  • @TonyRush

I believe it is Matt Rollings.

  • @TonyRush

I believe it is Matt Rollings.

  • Vince Gill is the best hands down!!!!!!!!!

  • Albert Lee is unbelievable and so are the rest of the band - keyboard is fantsticly difficult and very well played. Just love it!!!!! ************

  • Bob Saget on drums???

  • Marc O'Conner held a lot of the great players and singers together for big time pickin' sessions. This is heaven.

  • Well its never to late to add more Albert and practice ,practice ,practice!

  • Excellent !!!!

  • i wish iha my life to live over. Alot less partying and a whole lot more albert and practice ,practice, practice

  • hey ! -it´s Jerry on the lap-steel !

  • Is that Stuart Duncan on the fiddle?

  • Albert Lee BURNS!

  • only one missing is Danny Gatton

  • It's the whole picture - this kind of music is just not out there anymore. Sucks.

  • Albert Lee making you want to quit the guitar since 1943.

  • @StarfireEKS

    Albert Lee,

Making you wanna get better at the Guitar since 1943

  • first heard discovered Albert Lee when I heard a kick-ass solo on Dave Edmund's "sweet little Lisa" in 1979 album "Repeat when necessary".

From that point on I put him as my favourite Brit guitarist. Various U.S. female country singers latched on to him as their guitarist of choice from that point. Emmylou called him "her little caveman"

  • I will never play guitar again!

  • The pianist is ROCKIN'!!! Fiddle player is amazing. Guitar solos are just making me smile and shake my head! Damn, thats a bunch o' talent, aye? Beanicus

  • The fiddle dude rocks more than anyone in this clip

  • @TheMavenFrankeus

Mark O'Connor ...one of the most incredible musicians...ever! Great guitarists too.

  • @steveaga1 Aha, thanks!

  • @TheMavenFrankeus

try to play the solo´s on the guitar...

  • I am amazed every time people "discover" just how incredible Vince is. Just like I shake my head when people dis Clapton. Differences, not ranking who is better. Chosing to be who they want to be. Playing what they want to play.

  • @charles43110 Well Vince is soooooo well known for his great singing alot of people overlook his guitar playing. I had that ah-ha moment myself. but once I did, I realized what a great OVERALL talent he was....

  • I never knew you could hear the Albert Lee influence in Vince Gill's

playing. I better break out the Vince cds

  • why does/did ass clown mark oconnor think everyone wanted to hear him play that damn fiddle. Just my opinion, but he ruined everything he ever played on.

  • Absolutely superb - but this arrangement is based on the recording in Paris by Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grapelli with the Quintet of the Hot Club of France from around 1934. Wonderful stuff - I actually applauded in front of my computer when it finished! Gotta go and practise...

  • I'll tell you what is amazing about AL. He tours uk and Europe playing the high st pubs and clubs that Clapton, Beck and Page quit doing in 1965. A true working musician who turned his back on fame to stick with playing what he wants. A real guitar hero.

  • que bueno!!!!!

  • Albert Lee - a legend.

  • Albert is great but Vince is one hell of a picker.....

  • Albert Lee is actually english for those who don't know just like Eric Clapton

  • @DragonRory17 Eric Clapton knows Albert Lee is English :):):)

  • They are too fast and should be arrested!

  • I just love how so many great country singers of the last several decades have also been totally rippin' pickers. Ricky, Vince, Brad Paisley etc etc etc.

  • Vince's solo is outstanding on this.

  • as a clemson fan this makes my heart sing, go tigers!

  • jeez, how tall's vince, he looks about seven foot tall!!??

  • is incredible as gill is, to me, lee is the star of this stage. not to take anything from oconnor. and damn, no more cowbell. cowbell is so over done and commercial these days. with brittany spears and everybody else using it... no more cowbell.

  • Hey, I got a fever, and the only prescription is MORE COWBELL..

  • Monsters!!! Too bad Albert's tone is so anemic with that Ernie Ball guitar. He needs to get his old Tele out of retirement.

  • It needs more cow bell. ;)

  • I gotta have more Cowbell!

  • @bellyjellymusic Yeah,, i just gotta have more cowbell baby...

  • toddgakk..Albert's hair isn't white in this Video..maybe he did pick up the 52 Tele and watched himself play it in the mirror - and scared himself to death - that's why his hair is white !!!!!!!

  • Couldn't agree more. Lee is such a fantastic player, but his taste in tone doesn't match his playing. And what's up with the chorus?? Lee's playing with Gill's sound, please.

  • Albert Lee is the King!!!!

  • omg i NEVER THOUGHT THAT THIS COULD TOP THE ORIGINAL FROM alBERT!

  • Vince, Albert, keyboardist, fiddler..holy god..these guys are amazing

  • OMG what a track! The fiddle solo from Mark O'Conner was something else too

  • I'd give my big toe for Vince Gill's guitar tone on this video.

  • Wow! This is the very best out of the very best playing together. One of the toughest pieces of music played with ease and aplomp. Every single one of them is a world's top level musician. No compromise, no "pretty good", no middle class. On of these rare lucky moments in music history caught on tape.

    ThanXXX for posting!

  • check out michael coppola doing it on solo guitar!!!

  • That's about as good as guitar gets. Just outstanding these two great players. Great fiddle playing too.

  • Does Vince Gill need any heroes? He's the closest thing to AL I've ever heard.

  • PS: who's that guy on the keyboards?? He plays f*cking well cool!!

  • Does anyone know if this performance was ever put on a cd (on a Albert Lee-album or maybe a compilation-cd)? I know another version can be found on one of Lee's albums but it's not this version with Vince and Mark :(

  • What a great performance! They're all smokin players. With Mark wearing that hat, he reminds me of Basil Fawlty from the 'Waldorf Salad' episode xD

  • If I spent less time learning computer and concentrated more on practising on my guitar, maybe I could play one quarter as Albert Lee.

    Man, that dude is fantastic!!!

  • Woo Hoo...now that was some pickin man!

  • This show was great. Given its popularity on Youtube, you would think that some TV exec somewhere would realize that there is a market for real music on TV>

  • Vince Gill is the man. I love that dude.

  • Vince is toooooooooo good

  • Albert!!!! having to do with a physical function

    官能的アryバート、興奮スルぞえρ(⌒◇⌒)ノ.はーいっ

  • mark has the style!!! ;)

  • O Connor was the Man back then!
