Leathal combination...a lovely English girl quoting Keats....it's frustrating...no matter how hard an American may try...English poetry is best heard from the English...don't care for English men...(personal reasons...my ex married one, etc.) But this young English woman...she got me...I'm hers...
A sensitive reading. Now you need to try for more fluency - try to learn the poem by heart, or at least to know it so well that a glance at the words from time to ti,e is all that's necessary. Also, get technical help with your sound - you deserve much better. And keep recording poems that you love.
What are you doing smiling and laughing as you are reading THIS poem. It displays a complete disregard for the meaning. One star! Though I fear that is one too many.
nice rendition...keep it up...but things seem way too fast now....especially in YOUTUBE...which makes it harder to color the words with any deeper emotions than pastels.
I wish I could hear what you were saying more clearly. Keats poems are beautifully english, and I cant imagine reading them anywhere else. (Maybe they would still have the same effect abroad, who knows!)
I adore this ode keats was truly the best, but i can't hear your voice, and i think it could be better if you didn't read it, and if you stop touching your hair and tried to be a little more serious about it, i mean it the horoscopes your reading, its KEATS.When reciting poetry its always good to practice in front of the mirror and take a look at your expretions and see if you are overdoing it and such things. with a little polishing it would be better
by the way i liked your comment more than the poem itself. i am also a great fan of keats and i think keats is a much more manly and chivalrous poet than she expressed in her recitation style
Stop reading it from a book. I'm a goof, but I could recite all of 'Adonais' and half of 'The Eve of St. Agnes' before I was 22. When you can recite it, you own it. The speed, depth, and mood possess you. Your at the portcullis looking in at the palace, go from sound to experience, recite.
BareknuckleRealist. It's nice to know that an American like yourself can "own" Keats. Such a talent should be shared. This Englishman looks forward to your future recitals on YouTtube.
Your visible enjoyment of poetry makes quite an impact. The alternation between the moods of joy and sadness is both visible and audible. The simplicity and the gentleness of your reading are charming.
Thank you so much. I love Keats and his poetry - and "Nightingale" is my favorite. You have a lovely voice and I appreciate your reading of this poem. Very delightful to listen to you!
I liked it. The audio's a little off but you have a very nice voice to listen to. It was soothing. And Im not being perve-ish. I'm a girl too :P And you're more than welcome to read poetry to yourself whenever you want - I for one talk to inanimate objects.

My composition just for someone like you-
Beauty in serene lines,
Mortals shall always find,
Unwithered and still appealing,
Through seasons of bits and bytes.
And through this virtual life,
Little wizards of facts and numbers,
So long as thou ferry Poesy,
Shall again fall in love with Thee.
