@aobb223 No. I had the Magnaflow axle back mufflers, C&L c.a.i. and my Evolution tune. The road is a little up hill and it was around 95 degrees outside. This isn't my best run but the onlyone i made a video of.

@MrTims281 Your right. I didn't have the air tube clamps tight enough on my C&L c.a.i. and one end came loose. The flat place at around 80 to 95 m.p.h. is the engine sucking in too much air. I saw what had happened when i got home. I was too lazy to make another video

@matt25675 Hi Matt. This is my Evolution tune in the video. I also have a "mello Tune" (by choice), done by Steeda. I run the Steeda Tune in the winter because it doesn't mess with the transmission (automatic) shifts. I didn't want to run a fast, hard shifting tune when ice spots might be on the highway.

nice. i really love the 3.33 ratio. when i bought my v6 base..i didnt even know until i got home it had them. to my surprise it did, on the window placard in small print said it. so i checked the bottom of the car, there is a sticker on the diff, that says 3.33! score!

0-60 is pretty abrupt, this car hauls ass. i normally leave people in the dust from a red light..several car lenghts behind, while they are just getting up to 20 mph lol

I average 22mpg on my 50/50 C/H commute in my 2010 vert V6 with the old motor in it. I thought this new motor would get much better gas mileage. Guess not? I know it has way more power but I'm more interested in the new one for the fuel mileage.

David, before you got your tune, did the rpms stay nice and high like that when you floored it? Stock, the mustangs are tuned for high power with high rpms.

Also, was the car decent as stock for a daily driver? Did you find the auto sluggish at all? thanks!

@davidgilmour6 Yes but with the tunes i have, the rpm's go a couple hundred higher and closer to the real red line. The automatic isn't sluggish at all (i have 3.31 rear gear) untill you get spoiled, when and if you buy a tune (SCT). I'm old and this is the only car i own :). I get higher gas mileage than the 4 clyinder car i traded in for this Mustang. I hope this answers your questions.

@gotzrnd It might be a couple mpg less on the highway with the 3.31 gears. I think you might get 1 more mpg in the city with the 3.31 gears. I average 23 mpg mostly city with short highway drives. My last car, i traded in for my Mustang was a 4 cylinder and on the same roads i got 22 mpg.

Wooah didn't know they reversed the RPM's and MPH gauges on the 2011 model.

@yoyo616 On the V-6 2011 Mustang they are two choices to pick from when you order it. 2.73 is standard but i bought mine with the 3.31 rear gear ratio. One of my tunes had to be made for my 3.31 gear ratio because i can't make any changes to it. If i ever were to change my gear ratio, i would have to have them (the company that made the tune) make the change to my tune. My other tune lets me change things like my gear ratio and a few other things, myself.

@davidandchico Sound's like the rpm while going at WOT get's sort of stuck like a cvt longer as the gears get higher. Is that normal? how does this effect acceleration?

@Alonshalev I found out that my air tube on my C&L c.a.i. was loose because it came complety seperated and un-hooked about an hour later. Thats why my engines idle at the start of the video is going up and down and also had a slight bogging sound, because it was sucking too much air. Do you think this is what you are hearing? My last car had a C.V.T. transmission, and this Mustangs isn't anything like it :)

I have two tunes for the SCT Tuner i use. I had Gus at Steeda make me a mellow tune for everyday use. I have a hardcore tune from Evolution Performance i install when i want more performance. Both are 93 ocatne tunes. I bought my tunes and SCT tuner before people started selling 'tunes for life' :(

@eatmydirt85 The speed limiter is removed with the tunes i have. I don't know what the top speed is but in the video it does around 110 m.p.h. in third gear, its a 6 speed automatic.

@Motorfordtoyota, its just the tune. the mmr 2011 v6's tune smooths that out but with the stock gearing :( however, it does hit 90 in 2nd hehe, add a 3600 stall and u got a beast :))

This road is very slick. I had to keep the traction control 'on'. Its also a little up hill. Its hard to find a straight level road in Tennessee :)
