For some reason my elipses dont work as well as Ide like them too, would it be possible for you to put your project up on the web? This would really help me :)

Sure you can. However you need to make sure that the camera stays at the same angle and distance for both passes.Ryan Wieber does a good motion control clone shot with a Lego train on his web site..would recommend you checking it out. (search ryan-w in google.)
The Tutorial is good ,but I would like to ask you"the effect , "distort","displacement map".My after effect is not this effect! Where did you find this effect?Download?
for whatever reason I can't get my fire to burn out. I'm not sure why it isn't working. It just shows my elipse as a solic circle and it doesn't look like fire. Could you tell me what I'm doing wrong.
This is probably a relative easy thing to fix if you have created all the correct layers per the tutorial. My guess is that the problem lies in adding the displacement map effect to the flames and fire layer. Make sure that the Displacement map effect on both the flames layer and fire layer is set to the fractal layer. I talk about this at the 4:42 mark on the video. Let me know if that helps
