They weren't the top of the game in damage, or even in healing. But in defenses, you'd be hard pressed to find somebody harder to kill than a well played prot/ret paladin. zalgradis et all. It just took half a brain to play properly.

@1992jamo well its no nerf, crusader strike had a 10sec cooldown back then and therefore it did more damage. SoC did double damage while stunned and the damage coefficient was pretty high too, but it had only a chance of proccing and it was just able to hit 1 target ;)
