  • This was amazing.

  • I have a short film on my channel called Santa Hats Murder People.

  • who did he call?

  • @sunnyeffinday Presumably his divorced wife, it remains a mystery though...

  • great short. enjoyed it and your work and tutorials.

  • Anybody knows the song at 13:50 ?

    Amazing film btw :)

  • Your short film was good as long as you were keeping it on the tripod. Also if there is a shot with no dialogue you should take out the audio re-foley it and then add in the ambient noise at a very low volume. I looked at your behind the scenes videos and I think you do your own editing. Also could you check out my short film T.O.D. I'd like your input. I've been getting a lot better since them.

  • Someday when I'm watching the Oscars and you are nominated.. I'm going to sit back and think that I watched some of his first shorts knowing he'd make it.

  • @harrycchambers thanks :') xx

  • man, it's spelled Abruzzo, with one B.

this is amazing tho. I hope i can be as skilled as you one day.

  • @wolwol3 thank you!

  • Wow this is amazing! Great job keep it up! :D

  • @tsm767 Cheers man - keep at it!!!

  • Hey Dan, do you happen to have any short films on belonging?

  • @magicrystalina What do you mean?

  • m here b'coz of ur comment on " The new boy "

    good work . cheers~

  • It's awesome!:)

but at some part a steadycam would be very effective.

but overall you did a great job dude :)

  • Hey Dan,

Hopefully you read this! You can really spark your career in film-making by asking for international support as an Indie (Independent) cinematographer. Search up IndieGoGo. You won't be disappointed. Ans seriously, you have talent that'd be worth donating to :)

  • @vishals01 I am lookign into this on my next film :)

  • Great job Dan!!! The film is amazing! I also like the music alittle too ;)

  • Enjoyed seeing this especially after seeing your FCP X tutorials where you used parts of this as your examples. Thanks, Dan

  • Very nice!

  • That was good! Although, not sure why the policewoman had her hat on at a jaunty angle. I certainly have never seen a policewoman with a hat on like that. But that's just me nitpicking of course. The film was pretty good (although the boy's injuries sound far worse than falling off a bike onto grass...)

  • Loved it! :) Watch the editing though.. 14:30 - She puts her hat on twice

  • I really enjoyed this it was absolutely amazing.

  • This is wonderfully written, acted, and shot! I must know, what cameras did you use? And what are your editing techniques?

  • Thanks for all the comments :D

  • I used to use blurry extreme closeups, until I took an arrow to the knee

  • Where did you cast these people?

  • So inspiring thanks!!

  • I really enjoyed this! Like... really enjoyed it.

Having just done a segment in short-films at Uni and done my own 4minute action, it was good to be able to watch this. Also with the behind the scenes episodes you guys have done a great job with this project. I look forward to seeing anything you come up with later, but just to say, that was a really good story and I think it was told really well.

  • Great Film

  • Awesome! I can't wait to see what you do next!

  • Wow. You are extremely talented. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll be a major hollywood director!

  • Awesome film, but I was lost by the end. It's definitely one of those "watch now, understand later" kind of films. Great job, Dan!

  • im definitely a fan of your work and was excited to finally see this after much anticipation :) i am an aspiring film maker and truly enjoyed your piece :) it was cool seeing a lot of the techniques that you have taught in your tutorials come to life on screen! great job, keep it up! :)

  • good story, good cut, good camera, good color correcting! everything thing is awesome! but my recommendation is to get a better audio recorder, a better shotgun mic, and a recorder or something, just to get that full cinematic audio and video. that would be awesome! justt sayinn.. (y)

  • wow that was excellent, kept my attention for the whole 20 minutes. I really liked how you separated the film into different times, so it was more interesting and so the audience had to think more about the plot. Great Job!

  • Dan, great film.

  • Dan...

    You are amazing.

  • amazing

  • Great film!

  • Good job Dan! Interesting plot, effective storytelling and good cuts. However, you do need to work a bit more on the camera part.

  • @icecubemovies thanks for the feedback :)

  • @danonabouncycastle I liked it all, even the camera parts which some people said weren't so great :P

  • Amazing!!!
