  • Did anyone notice the dings in the rear bumper @ :17 seconds?

  • ok this sounds ok its the car i have to drive in drivers ed hhhahahha

  • Malibu 2.4 VVT Hybird.

    25-29 lites in city..

    23-24.5 lites on highway.

  • its the best rental car i drivin. but its not a good car to own.

  • a magazine "expert" payed by GM has lack of credibility because this car is just a copycat of bunch of good vehicles: 1.-Acura TL, 2.- VW Passat & 3.- MItsubishi Diamante XP

  • Elaboration please?

  • BONE HEAD

  • the Impala outsels the malibu despite no awards won and practically no million $ campaign ads

  • Fleet sales? I think it's also a ideological buy. Many buy GM out of loyalty (even if they don't like the car that much). The Impala is a logical choice for its room and price. Impala is great value, but it has weak styling.

  • Can anyone tell me how much of a difference there is between the I4 and the V6 engines and is it worth it? By the way i live in Seattle and its fairly mountainous so would the more powerful be better? Thank You.

  • Yes, I test drove a 6cyl LTZ. Big difference in acceleration and getting up hills.

  • thank you

  • The biggest help will be the 6 speed. It makes both engines significantly better, particularly with the L4.

  • Pointless comments about style need not apply here until they learn to drive. I took the Malibu on a 6,400 mile road trip from PDX to Toronto and back. As a world acclaimed astronomer and award winning artist, have owned mid luxury imports. They can go cry now as I believe Chevy has done their homework finally. The Malibu is so powerfully smooth and lightning quick quiet, nothing can touch it unless double the cost.

These blind geeks that whine about style are surely not award winning artists.

  • wtf they rely on plastic wtf are they going to use in the dashboard dog crap? solid lead cmon

  • car of the year 'label' ain't gonna do shit

you need decades to prove reliability

GMs even loosing marketshare to the koreans like the hyundai and kia whos sales are up 14% on a bad economy GM is talking about

  • Looks good, The tail lights don't impress me much, but the front and interior are nice. The big question is, how dependable is this car on a long run. Outstanding reliability is the main reason why North Americans started to like imports.

  • You can say that this car is bad, you can say that the engine dies on you after .0000001 mile... you can say what ever you want, but you cannot say that this car is Not Beautiful

  • this car looks great and buying it will support the north american economy, at time like this the US and canada need to stick together

  • Like Camry and Accord 4 bangers did ever stir any emotions.

  • No kidding right? It was just in these recent modles that the V6 in the Accord and Camry have been adequate, let alone the four. Im really not a huge fan of GM vehicles, but I really like the design and quality of this one, Far better than any of the imports.

  • I am board of Honda and Toyota. I like this

  • OK, Ill say it again, If this car had a Toyota or Honda emblem on it, It would have been the best car available. All of these professional reviews are way too bias.

  • Agree 100%. They would have you think that imports can do no wrong and domestics can do no right. Sucks because alot of people are buying into the BS

  • imports can and will do wrong..even though i hate american cars....NO car brand or car is perfect...they all make mistakes and stuff will fall apart in time...but imports have proved for decades they know how to make a car better then america...just the facts

  • I was very impressed after driving a fully loaded LTZ over the weekend. The fit, finish, ergonomics, and performance of this car are impressive. It is a real value. Materials and features are above Camry and Accord, attention to detail is very close, and reliability is still much better than Audi, BMW, and Mercedes.

  • To all who made bad comments about this car this is my advice:

Move to fucking Russia, China or for that matter cuba. Feel what it is not to have the US and its products and then come back. It is because of MORONS like you that we are getting far behind the rest of the world!

  • VW Passat is better. Honda Accord, is better. Toyota Camry, is better. Why GM makes this kind of cars without spirit?

  • Not sure what you're talking about. Volkswagen's handling may be better, but their quality has been horrible for years now. As for spirit, certainly seems like the 'bu has style in spades, and the Camry is about the most boring car ever made.

  • i don't like the way it looks and if u look closely it has everything or a lil less then the honda accord and camery and those two cars look better in my opion

  • The speaker raises a great point. Chevy purposely kept everything that is great about this car on only the LT2 and the LTZ. So you either have to pony up 23,000 to 27,000 to actually get the Malibu they are raving about, or you pay 19,000 for the base LS which has none of the options that make this car worthwhile. Way to go Chevy, make something nice, say it's affordable, then force people to pay 24,000 for the fucking car to actually enjoy what you've shown them.

  • Hooray! GM USA finally made a mediocre large car!

  • thats actually pretty cool

  • How much do the car manufacturers pay you to such nice things (kiss ass) about their subpar vehicles?

  • Do you know Kansas ?

  • You mean the Kansas city shuffle? T_T

  • Looks nice everywhere, but the the front. It's really not my style. I don't like the gril design, and the nose looks like whale's head from the side.

  • One of the best Mid-sizee sedans ever.

  • I used to think this new Malibu was just butt-ugly, but it's starting to grow on me. Still not digging the front styling though. The nose is too HUGE and prominent, just like the bulbous nose on the new Camry. Love the interior styling though. Got to sit in one and it was very comfy.

  • This new malibu rocks

  • First comment!Decent looking car, I guess. Nice work, ya'll!
