  • beautifullllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • ربنا يهدى

  • seems like a Turkish dance but I know I'm wrong it's probably Arabic

  • @car1dona Specially , it's an egyptian dance

  • What does he say about ahle Yazzid? Does he mean Yazzid ibn Mawya (La)?Can anyone tell me please?

  • @zalm7 , noo .. he is not saying 'Yazzid ibn mawaya' he says ( ya sedy ) which mean ' oh my lord ' by the way Sufis hate yazid ibn mwaya

  • all is good under the same sky

  • Wow ! , great music , but is not the Islam soul at all by the way , but nice traditions

  • this is a part from egyptian sufizm

  • he is an egyptian artist (sheikh ahmad)

  • There ARE female semazens who follow Sufi paths. Those who say not are mistaken.

  • @lrkpr THANK YOU! I've gotten quite tired of all the men-only comments re Sufism.

  • this is a little distorted version of Sufist ritual. There are no women semazens(turning people in the middle as to reflect the flow of the universe, turn of the planets) and they don't gone mad and disrupt their position (head little bit leaned to right shoulder, right hand above palm looking upwards and left arm is below palm towards down, to take from Hakk(Allah) and to give Halk(people))

  • @yourtoothpick agreed

  • @yourtoothpick Yes there are female semazens. Look it up.

  • beatiful

  • I don't agrre with LinnieK9 opinion about the thin plot!

  • It is suppose to be a dream. Dreams r not reality. That's why they hv women sufi dancers here.

  • That woman is rocking out! And he needs to drink less.SHEESH!!

  • what the heck!!!

    this is not true sufi...

the girl not wearing aproper cloth in Islam

  • I don't understand what makes men wrtie so much rubbish instead of enjoying the music which is very nice? Did Koran say that Muslim women should not dance? It is beautiful, made by Allah, pure, not perverted... what can be bad about it?

  • this is a sufi music and this song named "el ghnam" =shepherd and the munshid is ahmed el tuny \nd he is still alive and this dance is like to tanura dance which done by men noy women but this is just a movie

  • Derviches dancers are only males and sufi is not muslin but a style of music based on religious point of view of sacred geometry apllied to sound and movement...

  • senegalese women are muslim, iranian women are muslim, indonesian women are muslim.. but they all dance in a VERY different way!

  • yes, It's Sufi music but not Sufi dance or Sufi clip

    Sufi is Muslim

and Muslims women don't make like women in that clip.

  • A muslim woman can dance like woman in that clip, or like she wants. Muslim is not culture, it´s something pure.

I know some muslim womans that do the sufi dance.

    Sorry for my english.

  • Ohhh lovely! I wish i knew who are the artists who play the women dervishes in this scene! Anyone knows?

  • Danse soufi:

    : Rukmini Chatterjee, Karine Herrou

    Laya Torkaman

  • Merci beaucoup! je fait whirling aussi et cést beau de voir dautre filles.

  • @LinnieK9 why don't they were hijab???

  • @ealexef21

    not all arabians wear hijab

  • waking up to a lsd trip with this music

  • it's beautiful music, and i don't see anything wrong with the dancer, it's not like like she is pole dancing..

  • Sheikh Ahmad al-Tuni comes from the village of Hawatka, near Assiout, in upper Egypt, and is one of the last great munshidin (singers of the inshad dini, the islamic sacred song or hymn). I don't know if he is still alive but he did appear at the Fes Festival of World Sacred Music 3 or 4 years ago.

  • There is no need for that dancer, absolutely not!

This chanting is praising the holy prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. He taught humanity how to be chaste and decent, so a bouncing, lewd dancer is definitely uncalled for.

  • sorry brother, but I think that this is sufi music

  • His brother fled to morocco ´´ Ketama´´

  • Sorri i meant Morocco indeed, how silly!

  • The dancer is actually his daughter, who's dead and that's why he doesn't care about things anymore. And that's probably why he gives his life in the end, to save his brother's life, whom feld to Mexcio.

  • Thank you for posting this sequence from the movie. The first time I saw the movie I remember the beautiful dancing took my breath away (and I'm a dancer). Does anyone have the dancing scene from the boat to put up also?

  • in real sufism,, there's no dancing women..

    the music is sufi though

  • So, it was about time that women start to dance on this music as well!! Why not?

  • This is a Part From Tony Gatlifs Vengo

A Movie About Gypsy's In ANdalucia

But They Came From Far I Believe

    ever heard of Moros'

    Peace

    Paco

  • This is a clip from a French movie, "Vengo," where someone is having a dream about sufi dervishes. This is NOT a film about Sufism!

  • @LinnieK9

    agreed

  • @LinnieK9 Vengo is a Spanish movie, not French.

  • @autumnal1979 The film takes place in Spain, and one might call it a Spanish film. However, it was released by Arte France Cinema. Tony Gatlif is Algerian (part Roma) and lives in France.

  • @LinnieK9 One might also call it an Algerian/Roma film.

  • @autumnal1979 what is it about ?

  • Huuu,... seyhime,... huuuu, maasallah

  • هذا ليس تصوف انما خزعبلات وبعيد عن التصوف الحقيقي

  • Cuantas veces vamos a decir que eso no es sufismo . Eso no tiene nada que ver con el sufismo esa gente lo hace solamente para cobrar

  • Are they Muslim?s Are they really Sufis?

I dont think so! I am coming from Turkey where the Sufi Master RUMI is coming from and I newer saw such kind of rital in Sufism. I think this people are just dancing for many. The really sufis are invisible in turkey.

  • Thanko you kardesim . bu sufi degil

you're right that is not Sufism

  • Sayin clevelandNEY Muslim diye bir tanitim yoktur.Batililarin bir deyimidir. Müüsli,an demek."Allaha inanan" demektir.

Ingilizce yazarsaniz sevinirim.

  • hipnotic

  • Correct
