The circus is horrible because they treat animals like crap, they give animals cruel and unsual punishments b/c of attacks on customers, they beat the animals with whips if they do don't do what the trainers say, they sometimes make them wear stupid costumes for stunts, and they don't give the animals enough space to roam free like in an enclosure that is about 6 acres long. If an elephant gets mad b/c kids are riding it on it's back, thats when the pachyderm gets a punishment.
I would give my life for these animals to be free. I have never felt so passionate about something in my life. These beautiful magnificent animals don't deserve this, why can't it be stopped!? Low life scum the people are who condone this type of behavior. We consider ourselves so damn intelligent all the time, well we are obviously still primitive and barbaric if we are stupid and cruel enough to do this shit. I hope these people rot in hell. My heart goes to those animals.

i know from experience an animal wont perform if not happy or well cared for, if MY animals performed, i KNOW they are happy and enjoying themselves, AND are being loved

So I think that the greatest misfortune here is the generalization. I agree that there are some people who do not treat their animals well and this should not be stood for (whether the animals be domestic or exotic). But the thing is, not all circuses are like this and not all animal handlers are either. I think it is cruel to punish the many for the crimes of a few.
