Actually, we do have some things to brag about. Teams such as Virginia Tech have less bowl wins (VT has a 7-13 record). Of course, Pitt has won numerous national championships and so many bowl games. However, teams such as UAB and Florida International would die to earn even a low-level bowl game which they could brag about. We were once the same way, and the only team that was truly worth praising is the one that we have now.

Our DC at the time said later that they completely changed their defense for that game because they almost never face a triple option offense. They went from being aggressive to a passive read-and-react D against Navy. Probably one of the biggest coaching blunders of the season. Oh well, water under the bridge now...

Actually, we do have some things to brag about. Teams such as Virginia Tech have less bowl wins (VT has a 7-13 record). Of course, Pitt has won numerous national championships and so many bowl games. However, teams such as UAB and Florida International would die to earn even a low-level bowl game which they could brag about. We were once the same way, and the only team that was truly worth praising is the one that we have now.

rollercoasterfweak, I live in West Virginia, but am a true die hard Pitt fan. On December 1st, 2007, everyone here was so quiet and crying. It was the greatest day of my life nor I will never forget that day. The sports writer, Dave Poe, said this game would be over by half time, HAHAHA! Our DC at the time said later that they completely changed their defense for that game because they almost never face a triple option offense. Dave loves Pitt. I really thought he had a good gameplan for WVU. Making the players view the old reels of previous backyard brawls got his players pumped. I must admit he outcoached Fraud on every level. I do hope Pitt continues to get better for the sake of the Big East. With all of that said, WVU has a staff now that isnt looking ahead to greener fields. You can knock Bill Stewart all you want, but I dont think we have ever seen a staff as good as the one he is putting together.

Great video! Since Dave Wannstedt has being recruiting so very well, in 2008, Pitt will start being a regular in bowl games. Don't forget that 2008 will be Wanny's fourth season, so it will be the first season where the majority of the team will be composed of players that HE recruited. Also, do they play Navy on the road in 2008? If so, I recommend you come to the game. Annapolis is a beautiful town, and I say that Pitt would get revenge in a big way. Amen?
