True we are apart of the web of life, but we are above because we are consciously aware of other species. WE do not take from nature what we need, but instead devour and take all. So if we are the caretakers of this planet and we still live on it, why not try to preserve and cherish something that is more complex and unique that we will never or have created.
Surely it's about the balance of nature, there is no right to exist in nature, we exist because we have carved out a niche in the eco-system. Everything exists because of co-dependency somewhere along the chain. Its called The Web of Life and when the strands start to snap the web begins to disintegrate and that's what happening and its our fault. Our species is too dominant for its own good and the good of the rest of life on earth. We must restore some of the balance before its not too late
you people need to understand if the sharks and whales die off there is no one to regulate the fish and other animals that cause eating their food sources like the sharks eat a type of fish that eat a creature that eats carbon in the sea and if it gets worse the sea will turn acidic water will be damaged the waters will flood eating the ice capes and we die

What an incredibly stupid and selfish reason to want a species to survive. Don't get me wrong, the whale shark is one of my favorite animals. But to say I want it to survive simply because I like it, well people like cows and don't want other People to eat them, but McDonalds isn't losing any money if you know what I mean.

We are just as natural as any other being on this earth and therefore anything we may do, despite how chaotic or destructive we may consider it to be, is simply an act of nature. Yes its scary that a creature can simply cease to exist, perhaps someday we may just dissapear too, but maybe its the fact that other creatures did the same long ago that allowed us become what we are today.
You know ... i agree and dont agree with yuou. Cuz people need to eat , right? If this is their food , then thats their food. But what Mcdonalds does is saying that this is a Cheeseburger with bacon. But its actually some dead rats^^ And Japan who eat dolphin says that that they eat Dolphins ^^ So if you are trying to be racist with that tang inang mga yun....White people are the worst ...And im sure you eat dolphins (tuna in CAN ;D)
