  • Simple Awesome !!!!

  • So there is no need to cook the gobi?

  • Aunty Ji...I wanted to know where you brought your shedder and what kind it is? I wanted to buy a similar one. Thanks.

  • Thanks Manjula,I made it perfectly due to this video

  • Aunty ji, do we need to add oil when making the dough? Because if not then wouldn't it be sticky? I know its a silly question but I'm Bengali and we usually make Luchi (Puri) which requires oil and Roti in which we don't require oil. And what about greasing the skillet beforehand? And is it okay if I don't use Ajwain? I don't have it, please tell it won't ruin the Parantha... I'm a big newbie Aunty, please help me to be good. :D

  • namaste aunty,

When i tried making gobhi parantha, the filling doesn't spread all over. Some parts are empty without any filling in it.

    plz advice.

    thanks

    Nidhi

  • Aunty what kind of flower you use

  • Hi Aunty, we tried this paratha today and it tasted awesome. Thanks for your wonderful video.

  • hello aunty do the gobi not required cooking before stuffing

  • aunty the cauliflower doesn't need cooking prior to rolling in dough?

  • @JIMKOR You should not cook cauliflower before.

  • hi Manjulaaunty, I have tried your recipe few times everytime but when I roll paratha it becomes sticky. I do squeeze water out from gobi as you have mentioned and yet i can't roll the parathas. plz can you suggest what i can do to prevent this from happening? many thanks.

  • @dhoopkinare

To make it easier to roll the balls, first roll them in dry whole-wheat flour.

Lightly press the ball on the sealed side and keep it on the topside when rolling. Roll the ball light handed in to 6 inch circles. To reduce the stickiness on the rolling pin or rolling surface, sprinkle dry whole-wheat flour on both side of the semi-rolled paratha.

  • @Manjulaskitchen Thanks so much..I will try again soon with your helpful tips. thanks!

  • Dear Manjula.

I'm not an Indian, I'm from Europe and live in USA. My husband and I love authentic Indian food and I learned how to do it myself.

Your videos are great, your recipe simple, easy and delicious just like real food should be.

Bless your hands, bless your heart - stay here and teach us how to cook and enjoy all this marvelous Indian food.

    Namastey.

  • delicious!

  • your recipes are very helpful for people like me who are away from their mom in other countries where we dont get indian food. I make my daily meals from your videos. thank youvery much

  • no doubt this recipe is the conventional of all the gobhi paratha recipe, but i would like to add a suggestion to it, which i usually make paratha like, rather than squeezing the nutritious and flavoured water out of gobhi, knead the dough with unsqueezed gobhi without adding water, and add all the masalas and other additions which u like and then make it .. it tastes really great and different, no fuss of breaking the paratha or messing around with rolling.. try it, u will enjoy..

  • Hello Aunty,

Gobi paratha is really gud, i even wanted to know moli paratha receipe. Please try to let us know how to do.

    thanks

  • Your extra tips are really helpfull.

I made the prantha this way and they out great.

    thanks a lot

  • Hi Mam

Did you cover the table with plastic wrap that comes in a roll like eluminium foil?

  • I will try this recipe, inshaAllah (God Willing) on tuesday morning for Sehri (pre down meal) as it is Ramadan now.

I was thinking to make a gobi prantha.

I have made a cabbage prantha and also carrot prantha but in a different way, they taste good too.

    Thanks May Allah guide you.

  • Manjula Aunty, you are a celebrity now, did you see someone made a spoof of your video? I love that paratha, I never understood why my paratha broke away all the time, cant wait to go do it tonite.. once again, thank you sooo much, I love all the recipe you posted. I am addicted to your videos.

  • Namaste Manjula,i see your all video...i like them.i have learned many recipes from your video...can u tell me how to make dal paratha or dal puri???

  • Namaste Manjula ji, Can you tell me which brand atta you use?

  • I like sujata, golden temple or laxmi

  • Another great video. I love watching your hand motions as you sqeeze the water out, make the dough, stuff and roll the parathas out ... exactly the same as my mom and aunts! My goal is to achieve this level of comfort/grace one day in the kitchen. For me your cooking is all about love and nurturing through food. I think so many of us watch it for that reason. Would you do a video on how you manage to feed your family homecooked meals everyday?

  • Thanks so much aunty! I've been waiting for this so long!! Thank-you!

  • Manjula, you rock !!!! I made this today and they turned out fabulos !!! THANK YOU !!!

  • thanks manjula... your authenticity is insiring keep up the good work!!!!

  • Thank you for explaining that water makes it hard to roll the parathas! My dal pooris and aloo parathas keep falling apart when I roll them out! I think I need to figure out how to dry out the fillers. Thank you for this wonderful paratha recipe. I also use ghee instead of oil, and it seems to add to the flavor a lot, even though ghee is bad for cholesterol, but it makes the parathas so yummy.

  • thanks for the video! you make it look too simple :)

  • Yay! This looks so wonderful. I've tried some of your recipes and they're great.

  • wow! that looks really good!!! Im definitely gonna try it!!

  • Looks good as usual and I enjoy watching your presentations.

  • Great recipe !!!

  • Auntyji, you are the master, the way you effortlessly make these parathas and the myriad of other flatbreads. Looks so easy, but it comes with years of experience. When I try rolling indian breads, they always look wonky - bit like a map of Australia - I think the dough is calling out for your magic touch instead!!

  • may be you are noe able to roll perfectly round but taste should remain the same. My mistake I should explain more how to role next video I will do that.

  • thank-you for another great video, really appreciate them, now my daughter is also watching and learning from you... so I dont have to show her, she can just watch you, wonderful!

  • Manula, Are you using an iron pan for frying the chapathis. If so what size is it? and where can I buy it.

  • looks like a LODGE brand cast iron skillet

  • buoni!!!! thank you for all your recipes you are great!!!!! yum!

  • looks great! thanks!

  • Manjula, that looks amazing! I want to eat it now! lol My husband does not like cauliflower, do you reccomend another vegitable?

  • Thank you !!
