  • How long ago was this shot? Engine 5 has been out of service since April due to an axle bearing problem.

  • This was shot on July 20, 2009. I was there for 5 days and the Ward Kimball was up and running all 5 days.  It looked nice and bright and shiny, so it's possible that it just recently came back on line.

  • One of the crew told me that the axle was replaced, and that 5 is doing just fine. I am glad to see her back, she's my favorite engine.
