@TheDescentJatt You need to change your language of thought. You are stuck in a very negative language of thought to change this write down 5 things that you can be grateful for, thankful for, and happy about in your life. Every day for the next 2 weeks add 1 thing to your list. Review this list anytime you feel negative thoughts taking over and say ‘I’m (grateful, thankful, or happy) about (read each item on your list). Do this for at least 3 weeks and things will get better.
@successcoachjohn If I had the ability to do that, I wouldn't be depressed. But with all due respect, I'm not the one calling myself a success coach with the ability to help others overcome depression.
@KristenM1988 I know it sounds too simple to work; it’s hard to believe that simple answers solve problems. We think that there must be a more complicated reason for what is happening to us therefore we need a complicated solution to help. However in many cases of depression we create the problem and the have the power to be the solution. Try using the technique before you reject it so quickly
I do believe that this program is a great oversimplification of the individual causes of depression, but I completely agree with the basic concept that for many, depressive thoughts are generated by not being where you think you should be in life. I know I have this problem as do some of my closer friends, and for treating this basic symptom, this program is great! Thank you!
Your training is fantastic and I feel it would be beneficial for subscribers of my Depression Overcoming Techniques Blog. Can I have your permission to embed your videos that I believe will help my subscribers into my blog?
The point to this video is simple. It is not what happens to us that is important, it's what we do about it that counts. At the moment we make a decision to not be victims of circumstance we take back the power to change our lives. Happiness is a choice just as depression often is a choice for many people.
We have the power to bring light to any darkness the problem is that people have a misguided sense of purpose that is reinforced by the people around them. Depression had become an easy excuse for failure and medication the answer. What we focus on we will find and if it is reinforced positively then there we will stay. It is not what happens to us that matters it what we do about it.
Mental focus can be when you place yourself in a different enviorment or take part in an activity that you enjoy your focus changes and your emotional state changes. The problem is that far to often people look for excuses rather than solutions. Life is a choice. We either decide to take control of our situations and decisions or we surrender to what happens to us. those are our choices and only we can decide which path to take. The thing to understand is that what ever we choose it is up to us.
Many people do try and take control, and their attempts end up unsuccessful, so the only outcome is loss of energy, demotivation, and a deeper lack of care.
Those who achieve the thought that death is more peaceful than life (mind you there are many philosophers who were/are not depressed who came to this understanding) are the ones I feel for the most, because that understanding is unbreakable and yields a perception of life as being none other than a burden.
Gotta stay possitive.
I'll die one day :)

Alright.
I think it's obvious that people who are depressed are not satisfied with their lives, but thankfully that's just the beginning of your video.
To be fair, I thought you were another one of those rapid dogs feeding of the unhappiness of others but what you said actually made some sense.

As you said in the beginning sometimes it is not an exogenous issue, it is an endogenous issue.
Neurotransmitters are a real factor in many cases of depression.
Yes, self-talk, body posture, and so on are important.
But, the big problem is life situations exacerbate the change in the uptake of the neurotransmitters.
Sure there is NLP and RET, but it comes down to identifying the cause of depression first.
It is a very dark, and deep hole.
