It was a very small percentage of scientists who had reached the global "cooling" conclusion and it was not, by any statistical measure, a consensus of the scientific community.

@chagnonp7 Cocksucker, in a closed ecosystem such as earth, the planet breaths in then breaths out. There is a balance between the amount of Oxygen and CO2 that the earth produces and consumes. By artificially increasing the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, you will distort this balance.

If you have a few plants in your garage, you and the plants breath in/out O/CO2 in reverse, but the balance is preserve. By turning on your car, you will eventually kill yourself and the plants. You get it now?

This was correctly pointed out, and was rebutted by Mr Inhofe with a quote from and old article by Dr John P Holdren (Who I'm sure you have never heard of). It still doesn't change the fact that there was never a consensus about global cooling, and in fact it was just a tiny group of people who mistakenly thought that the world was cooling 40 years ago.

the earths atmosphere is 0.06% c02, humans account for about 4% of that. how we came to the conclusion that it is responsible for global warming and that humans play a role is beyond me.
