The sound is SO rich! Like diamonds on black velvet. just give this song a bit of patience. I like the opening minute and the change-over at 1:09 and the banjo entering at 2:35. You'd never suspect the song would take so many twists and turns. Nice! Mandolin at 3:28
Dan is hands down the best lead flat picker ever (incredible drive and smooth as silk), and this is the best all instrumental bluegrass album available. I have never seen any band other than this one hold the audience spellbound for their entire show while doing almost all picking tunes with only four or five vocals included. I gather that they are doing more vocals these days; and that's fine as long as these instrumentals keep coming.
When I saw this LP's cover I laughed and bought it for the shits and giggles. Now I keep pulling out the record for the music.

The album cover is absolutely ridiculous and hilarious, but the music is surprisingly really good! :-)
