North St.Louis is a pig sty...if these guys are buying up everything then they do have a plan, but its a 25 year plan to fix these places up, move whites back into the city and have it all be financially out of reach of any other ethnic groups...

Four years later, almost, and the conditions have worsened. This community did not get in the shape that it is in over the 5 years that NSR purchased properties, it started crumbling way before. Myriad of reasons,perhaps via neglet of residents, perhaps the mass exodus of blacks as more and more of US, African Americans relinquished our rights and headed for the hills.

This was an open book test, we have to change the way WE look at things. The fight was on with the "alleged plot"

This very much reminds of the destruction of the historic 1900 block of Perlman Place in my home city of Baltimore. Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake has 'vowed to destroy all blight'. The demolition involved about 70 properties. Charles Jeffries Jr. wanted to renovate those derelict rows but his project was moving too slowly...“The safety threat and blight far outweighed the value of rehabilitation,” said Baltimore Housing Commissioner Paul Graziano.

Destroying all of those beautiful, historic rowhouses and cottage houses with their charming masonry detailing, carved cornices and splendid facades. No development could take the place of these wonderful buildings. Today's structures are so bland and simple with no detailing to be found....Those high-rises are difficult to look at. Nothing compares to the architecture of pre-50s housing stock...It's very quaint and very real and you know the designers put a lot of effort into these houses.

why haven't you updated the comments section stating that McKee has acknowledged his plans for re-development? He kept silent for so long because he didn't want other developers coming in and buying land, then holding him hostage over his upcoming transformation of the Ghetto we call the North Side. I have lived in St. Louis most of my life, and live in University City. North St. Louis is an abomination to this city, and needs serious help. God Bless Paul Mckee!!!

He puts the dirt in 'dirt nasty' and always has. The dude is corrupt, scandalous and greedy as it gets. He's not Reverend Rice... You want to praise somebody on Sundays, praise him.
