You know what a bear trap does right? Well, here it's not closing as you can see, it's actually opening wide. She has a piece of metal in her mouth that is connected to the device, so when it opens, it forces the mouth to open wide, ripping it. She could just slide it up her head if she DIDN'T have a piece of metal in her mouth. But here, she has to unlock the metal straps behind her head, in order to take the device off like a mask, you see ?

I like John Cramer's traps the best. He actually has a true motivation behind what he does: he tries to help people find value in their life. He never WANTS them to die, it's more of a scare tactic gone too far.

Amanda is just a jerk...she just likes torturing people, and by the time Hoffman comes around, the reason why he's doing what he does is forgotten and it's almost the same as Amanda.

Saw 1 is BY FAR AND AWAY the best. Saw 2, meh, a little much for me, and I won't watch the rest.
