Interesting that Roger Patterson had just released a book about Bigfoot just before he made his famous video. I wonder what happend to his book sales.

Something I've noticed is so many of these "so-called" experts in the field never go out looking for any evidence themselves? With one notable exception being Dr. Jeff Meldrum. Seems like they just sit back and wait for amature Bigfoot hunters to gather evidence. To which they quickly set about trying to debunk instead of studying?

Even if he did head out on a search to look for the remains of big foot, his chances are extremely low. How hard is it to find the remains of a bear? You can hardly find any bones of any animals, when an animal is about to die it usually goes into hiding, therefore the remains of animals are hidden, same would go for the big foot.
It stories all over the world about this and if its just one then the stories would stop by now so that would mean its a species so that would mean theres more than one so that would mean it shouldnt be so damn hard to find. Well, it's fake. But Patterson's inspiration of the film was based on what the local natives have seen. He did not come up with the idea of Big Foot. He was going to shoot the film in California and then when moving for a nice spot to shoot the film he "suddenly saw a big foot".
But...again this is a female Big Foot... why make a female one and have the female parts be exatctally how they should be. wouldnt a male be easier...

The "bigfoot scream" near the end of this video is, in fact, a man. It was recorded in a professional studio and the tape slowed down to make it sound this way. It was created for another documentary back in 1971 and was suppose to represent what a couple near Vancouver BC had hear one evening. It is NOT a recording made in the wild.
People Bigfoot doesn't exist, it's just a fable handed down to scare people. It was later discovered that film was a man dressed in a suit, who was paid to walk around to be shot on camera. There's an explanation for Bigfoot, man's imagination creating this creature for entertainment purposes. Unintelligent people will almost believe anything.

I just haven't encountered such a creature which makes it hard for me to believe but that doesn't necessarily mean they don't exist. I'm interested in this subject matter however.

This excites me becuase I live in the Pacific NW where most of these sightings occur. But even if this creature DOES exist-so what? Do we do anything? No. Just let it be. If it does roam the forests, so far it hasnt done anything to harm us, or even be seen that easily. Its just another peaceful creature. you have to open your mind to how vast these wildernesses are.... i live in Scotland, only 1/8th of scotland is inhabbited by humans, thats 7/8ths of free open/closed land... a massive area for things to remain hidden, in America/south africa/Australia those countrys are 50 + times the size of my small country.... think of all that vast land free for any unknown beast to roam. we are finding thousands of new species in the world day by day.... its possible in my opinion :)
In 1967 they(Hollywood) did not have spandex, or flexible rubber suits, like we have today. Especially when a rookie film maker such as Patterson would never have had access to "State of the art" Hollywood style effects when the technology didn't even exist in 1967. The back of the Patterson bigfoot looks like a silver back Gorilla, and in 1967 very few people knew what a silver back gorilla looked like. This was taken from Dr.Jeff Meldrum.
My Uncle Larry, was a member of the crew that found the foot prints. He swore to me that nothing was faked. Infact he said that he had seen tracks in the woods in Humbold County for years but never gave it a second thought untill the Papers got wind. My Aunt Marry, too told me that as a kid, growing up in Eurkia she had herd many stories of large upright animals crossing the roads at night. Both are gone now but they never lied to me.

A British reporter retraced the steps of the thing on film shortly after this was released.The reporter was 6'5 and when comparing side by side it showed the thing or human was no more than a couple inches taller.Not 7 feet like alot of people say.

Bigfoot is a nocturnal species and tremendously wary. I think this one perhaps was sick or just given birth (due to large breasts) and had passed out on the river - the noise of which masked the approach of the riders.
I find it odd that someone faking a bigfoot suit would include breasts on such an obviously large and manly costume!

It's very possible and very easy for a human to walk like that. In fact I tried it myself and it looks pretty convincing if I do say so myself. You can do it too. Try it.
As for the height, I haven't seen any evidence indicating it was 7 ft but the general consensus is that it is over 6 feet tall. Certainly not outside of the realms of human height.

The "bigfoot scream" near the end of this video is, in fact, a man. It was recorded in a professional studio and the tape slowed down to make it sound this way. It was created for another documentary back in 1971 and was suppose to represent what a couple near Vancouver BC had hear one evening. It is NOT a recording made in the wild.

People Bigfoot doesn't exist, it's just a fable handed down to scare people. It was later discovered that film was a man dressed in a suit, who was paid to walk around to be shot on camera. There's an explanation for Bigfoot, man's imagination creating this creature for entertainment purposes. Unintelligent people will almost believe anything.

I just haven't encountered such a creature which makes it hard for me to believe but that doesn't necessarily mean they don't exist. I'm interested in this subject matter however.

This excites me becuase I live in the Pacific NW where most of these sightings occur. But even if this creature DOES exist-so what? Do we do anything? No. Just let it be. If it does roam the forests, so far it hasnt done anything to harm us, or even be seen that easily. Its just another peaceful creature. Otherwise, it would be funny if this whole documentary was for nothing. :)

you have to open your mind to how vast these wildernesses are.... i live in Scotland, only 1/8th of scotland is inhabbited by humans, thats 7/8ths of free open/closed land... a massive area for things to remain hidden, in America/south africa/Australia those countrys are 50 + times the size of my small country.... think of all that vast land free for any unknown beast to roam. we are finding thousands of new species in the world day by day.... its possible in my opinion :)

Especially when a rookie film maker such as Patterson would never have had access to "State of the art" Hollywood style effects when the technology didn't even exist in 1967. The back of the Patterson bigfoot looks like a silver back Gorilla, and in 1967 very few people knew what a silver back gorilla looked like. This was taken from Dr.Jeff Meldrum.

My Uncle Larry, was a member of the crew that found the foot prints. He swore to me that nothing was faked. Infact he said that he had seen tracks in the woods in Humbold County for years but never gave it a second thought untill the Papers got wind. My Aunt Marry, too told me that as a kid, growing up in Eurkia she had herd many stories of large upright animals crossing the roads at night. Both are gone now but they never lied to me.

this would have to be a very large human if it were someone in a suit. And it has a very over exaggerated walk and gait. its very big around and looks hunched over with a forward slouch to it. I seen this years ago at a movie theater and it was much more detailed and realistic than the one we see on the internet today.

A British reporter retraced the steps of the thing on film shortly after this was released.The reporter was 6'5 and when comparing side by side it showed the thing or human was no more than a couple inches taller.Not 7 feet like alot of people say.

Bigfoot is a nocturnal species and tremendously wary. I think this one perhaps was sick or just given birth (due to large breasts) and had passed out on the river - the noise of which masked the approach of the riders.
I find it odd that someone faking a bigfoot suit would include breasts on such an obviously large and manly costume!

recent scientific tests have shown that the creature in the film is over 7foot tall, there weren't many 7foot tall 700pound men around at that time, also that there is no way a man could fit in a suit of that size and dimension, the shoulders are lower on a man ,also that a man could not walk the way the creature is walking, their knees move in such a way that a man can do it..

@210daved I'm sorry, but part of that statement is bullshit. I've seen another Bigfoot documentary stating that the "movements" are not human.
It's very possible and very easy for a human to walk like that. In fact I tried it myself and it looks pretty convincing if I do say so myself. You can do it too. Try it.
As for the height, I haven't seen any evidence indicating it was 7 ft but the general consensus is that it is over 6 feet tall. Certainly not outside of the realms of human height.
