@mccubzuk Do you mean differentiate just by looking? The clue will be how they are acting. Someone injured will act differently to someone making off. But that's the point someone covered in a red substance got your attention. It's a deep rooted 'cave man' kind of a reaction. Not something easily overlooked.
I have a concern for this - what if someone if genuinely injured to the point that they are covered in blood - how would they be differentiated to get the necessary medical attention?
They should make it a different color, if people see a guy running out of a house or on the streets covered in red stuff they might get the wrong idea; but it would bring attention!
What happens to an innocent if a criminal turn the table and attacks the innocent using this red thing? will the innocent be arrested as he/she is marked in red?
@StoppaLtd completely legal as it doesn't fall under the firearms act like CS or pepper sprays. I have a few of the sprays and feel much safer with them. I would suggest people buy this product. Even keep one by your front door at home, you never know when you will need it and a suspect with red dye on him can't exactly lie his way out of something if the police get him. It stuns the attacker and identifies them, wiping it off spreads it far more so people notice them! Red face and hands!!!

The red colour is designed to grab the attention of potential witnesses.
Even the most pre-occupied person stands a good chance of noticing someone who they think is covered in blood.

Not likely unless a crime has been reported and the police are looking for a suspect dyed red. :)

and u can identify a criminal even when he flees ... bystanders will see a guy painted red, and they'll figure he tried to attack someone.

We have seen several offenders identified and arrested because they were the only people on the street that were bright red!!

does it burn or foam up where its sprayed?

It comes out of the canister thick and gooey so there is no need for it to foam up on contact.
It is unpleasant to say the least.
