  • När ni pratar svenska verkar ni seriösa men när ni pratar engelska verkar ni nästan högmodiga, kanske beror på nervositet men jag tror inte det är bra pr.

  • Also SR offers 500 Hz monocular Eye Tracking and then you need a "target sticker" as specified on their website. Still with these 2 points in mind, the possibility of headmovements is significantly lower.

As TobiiEyeTracking stated, there is actually no standard for that kind of measurements - but if you just try out the systems you will already get an impression. I made quite some experiences in that field.

If you don't want to trust that you can systematically test the different systems.

  • After checking the specs it is quite obvious that …

SR has a box that is too small to allow natural behavior movements:

    - Eye Link in 500 Hz Remote option: 7,9 dm3 (22*18*20cm)

    - Tobii TX300 18,8 dm3

At this point Tobii is the only manufacturer that specifies performance throughout the movement box for a group of 20 randomly chosen individuals. If you want to get the specified SMI 250 performance you have to be an “easy to track individual” who keeps still in the middle of the box.

  • Hasn't SR Research had a 500Hz remote eye tracker out for years now? And SMI also have a higher spec remote system? You don't 'have' to have a headrest either, it's just that for any system, including this one, a chin rest and stabilized head will produce better spatial accuracy. What's the spatial accuracy of this system?
