Nothing is priceless. Certainly not friendship which should bring us together to an uncertain end. And I must correct the impression that it was spontaneous: we have known each other since 1992. Arthur was one of the reason I came to study at Columbia art history, the other person was Meyer Shapeiro--but I am too upset to write more
