I have one of the Metallica boots, I like to think it's the best one out there, it's from an actual series of semi-pro affairs, called Coverin' Em. Not only does it compile Metallica (per disc basis) but covers a number of bands doing ALL their covers, not at one show mind you, but compiled. This CD series was 1990s released.

An example of why Lars is an unbelievably boring, non-consistent drummer, and overall not very good. In this, he makes the song sound slowed down, his beats are weak and his fills are an awful excuse when covering a track that Bill Ward kick ass on. And the thing is Metallica have been around for more than 30 years and he hasn't improved one bit. No one can possibly argue.

You're all missing the point. Metallica used to do quick jams between songs, and weren't even proper covers. They'd just play 1 or 2 bars and stop, but always made it sound a bit sloppy towards the end.

Black Sabbath are part of who Metallica are, they could probably play their songs in their sleep if they wanted to.

Nothing is as heavy as Symptom of the Universe. But you gotta admit it, Metallica made some of the greatest metal songs ever. You got the sheer epicness of songs like Call of Ktulu, One or For whom the Bell Tolls, you have fast songs like Battery, Fight fire with Fire and Dyers Eve, then you have the heavy shit like The thing that should not be, Harvester of Sorrow and Sad But True etc.
