Alright. I've been a fan of diru since Uroboros (when I discovered them) I appreciate the depth that they've gone through in reworking their style, and I like the stuff they started out with also. They're not getting worse, they're evolving. I fucking love their new shit. Nobody is quite as brutal and emotional at the same time....they are _not_ conforming to "new wave screamo bands"
That would be dissing Kyo as a singer. He actually has talent....
@SleepyFroggy fail. just failure. Your analogy is not consistent in anyway whatsoever. It makes no sense. Lets us break it down. "If you were a true fan, you'd love them no matter what" ="Stay with your girlfriend if she sleeps with your dad". Um.. no. Here's what it SHOULD be. If you preferred to use "Stay w ur gf..." you'd say: You'd love dir en grey if they choose to do country music... that would be a better match to staying with your GF if she slept with your dad. They didnt do that.
@SleepyFroggy Yes... and like Iii said, they haven't [changed completely]... And I probably still would love them if they did country music. I guess I'm a "true fan" then.
@SleepyFroggy Well that's been happened. Have you seen the music stars of our generation? And thats a lilttle bit of an exaggeration, but you tend to do that a lot so I guess I'm done. DIR EN GREY rocks. End of story. No matter how "different" they sound, their music has always been not short of fucking awesome.
First of all, they aren't emo screamo, they aren't confirming to anyone but themselves.
If you were a true fan, you would love them no matter what. Bands always progress, and get better and noticed and famous. But it sucks bands have shifty fans that diss on them just cus they change or sound different. And call them sell outs.
Fuck you guys that like old dir en grey and hate new dir en grey, bitch its the same dir en grey.
@freddy911304 I'm glad that someone said it. Dir en grey fandom are nothing but whining bitches that only liked them for the make up and the visual aspect. Pity though most of them are talentless scene kids themselves who think bands like Bullet for my Valentine are hardcore.
@freddy911304 here HERE! I agree whole heartedly. I love Diru through every step they go through. I will love them forever and take each album as a new adventure.
@freddy911304 seriously, Ive followed the band since almost the beginning and loved every album. If you seriously think you can say you liked the old dir en grey, you never knew dir en grey to begin with. They're a band that are constantly moving in new directions and are always changing. But because dir en grey have always been like this, they've successfully been able to avoid being categorized as any one genre. Obviously, a handful of people have absolutely no idea what they're talking about.

@anbmjj Okay, I guess music isnt what's important in music anymore then...
And imo, they DID change completely, gauze sounds like the teletubbies, the new album sounds like the devil is raping your mom.
