ive been doing these, but weighted for about a year and i dont have any significant calves. got some veins in the area but not shapely muscle. What on earth is going on?
Okay so i've been doin' calves raises for bout 4 weeks now. I do bout 10 sets of 12 reps each but i see no difference. My calves are so week and have not grown bigger even a cm. They're still soft. I'm sick of it and feel like losin' my faith. I'm a guy and im in my mid 30s. Having calves like urs is just dream. U can surely kiss my ass. Any advice u can give.

The left calf is not that visible though but i still do more calf raised on the left one but when it comes to my left thigh, i dunno how to balance it. How can i make it equal to the right one. My goal is to make my thighs bigger btw. My left thigh measurement is 19 and a half inches. Do u think it's very thin. Should i work them out twice a week or just once a week?
@alltimechiller Maybe work them twice a week. Also the unbalanced look could be from a number of things such as work related, starting leg when bike riding , anything really so just try to give them both the same workout :-)
@101mmg squats and lunges are good for that.also sprinting is good. I have some videos on legs where I do squats and some thigh exercises, if you want to check them out. :-)
Hey Elektra, I REALLY want to try your exercises but I have TERRIBLE hamstring flexibility. I've never been able to even sit at 90 degrees with my legs stretched out in front of me much less raise them to that angle while standing. I even got an injury a few years back because of it which only made it worse.
Do you know of any awesome hamstring stretches to help me out?
@XxKasperShiftxX Well I would suggest going to see a doctor about that and maybe even talk with a physical therapist before attempting any stretches. You don't want to injure yourself. ;-)
very effective workout,I really enjoyed doing the Calves :D,the quads are effective as well,I have a question,is there any workouts that workouts HAMSTRINGS,abductors and adductors that i can perform at home?
I have 2 dumbbells 2.5 kg/5.5 lbs each,I also have a pull up bar at my house but i only do pull ups with it
@fahimmuchi Well you can do deadlifts and leg curls for your hamstrings and for the abductors and adductors, you can do some inner and outer thighs work outs either with weight or without. I would suggest an ankle weight. I do have a video dealing with inner and outer thighs if you want to check that out. :-)

@GirlJovi007 , Well I would suggest more water intake and eating some bananas during the day. Stretch for 10 to 15 minutes after warming up with a light simple walk and maybe massage your muscles during stretching. However the best advice I can give you is to see your doctor to see if there is anything else going on. I hope this helps. :-)

@wastedtalent09 , in a sense yes but there are exercises that are just stretching Stretching helps to warm the muscles as well so starting off slowly is the best process.
