@1978utreg That's an interesting comparison, because both boxers were going through some tough times mentally. Foreman talked about all he wanted to do back then in the ring was hurt people. I think Tyson was in the same mindset in his early days because of his background. Yet, the only thing that I see that Foreman had over Tyson was his size. He was huge. But he didn't have any real mobility. He actually was more a brawler. He didn't have the combo skills of Tyson, and he wasn't as agile. IMO

Mike was the most ferocious, entertaining boxer of all-time. Yes, Holyfield and Lennox Lewis were probably better, but no one was more awe inspiring than Tyson.

@lufc339 that wasnt a prima ali....tyson wasn't the only one with a lay off ;-) Difference is that Ali after his prime still won against foreman, frazier (2) Norton (2) lyle, shavers etcetera and Tyson was shut ;-)

@1978utreg if you read my comment i said i think that tyson would have beat a PAST his prime ali, when he went in the ring with frazier the third time. ;) i agree that Ali did far better after his lay off than tyson did after prison fighting the best and almost always beating who he claimed he would.
personally though I still believe that prime Tyson was the best and would have got the better of any Ali and i dont think that Ali's mind games would have worked on Tyson with Rooney in his corner.

@lufc339 okay sorry i must have misread you :-) i agree with you on the mindgames department alltough i dont think he would have been able to hit a 67 ali flush...It could go either way but my money would be on ali because he 'shook up the world' far mor often then Tyson but unfortunattely we'll never know ;-)

@1978utreg yeah everyone's got their opinion on it and no one has really got the right to say that Ali would get his ass knocked out by anyone after what he did, but would be a great fight but I can never help to be a bit biased towards Tyson ;)

@1978utreg would be great, personally I think Tyson would beat Ali but Foreman could potentially be a death wish for Tyson, yet Ali knocked out foreman. its tough too call who is the best, I think their all great with their own Styles :)

Foreman is one of the best heavyweights ever and i agree that he probably would ko tyson but a prime tyson could have done the same thing..we'll never know, but i hope we will see some other great heavyweights in the future, so we can enjoy some more classic bouts...

@1978utreg That's an interesting comparison, because both boxers were going through some tough times mentally. Foreman talked about all he wanted to do back then in the ring was hurt people. I think Tyson was in the same mindset in his early days because of his background. Yet, the only thing that I see that Foreman had over Tyson was his size. He was huge. But he didn't have any real mobility. He actually was more a brawler. He didn't have the combo skills of Tyson, and he wasn't as agile. IMO

@paintingwithlight thats true tyson had more talent skillwise but foreman knocked out guys like frazier and norton and even moorer when he was in his 40's so i think that he would knock out tyson but its just speculation...We both agree that it would be a superb fight i think ;-)

super genetics. by 15 mike was almost 200 lbs, just pure straight up mesomorph. tyson was the best of late 80's - early 90's, most furocious fighter ever.
