you see the smoke pattern change in the north tower when the second plane hits from other angles too. the explosion from united 175 was so powerful though, a guy who filmed it from blocks away said he felt the heat from it. so it would effect the north tower, even the energy from the plane flying before it hit. his personal vid of it is on youtube.
