yup thats definately a Hung Gar form, then only the last 10 seconds at the end was a little bit of CLF lol the form he does actually kind of looks like a version of "Gung Ji Fook Fu Kuen" from Hung Gar i think... but i'm not sure. Anyway, its not CLF for sure, it did seem like he lost his direction n forgot some moves close to the end and threw in some CLF to get back on track or something.
I can see HG and CLF but definitely more of the former than latter in terms of stance and execution of attacks (besides the very obvious CLF ones) but more latter in terms of his footwork. Although given the fact CLF borrows a lot from HG its no surprise its so hard to tell the difference.
its hung gar style. but CLF and hung gar are very close in the family. i always see CLF students doing hung gar style. if ur interrested, please go to wiki and search some CLF history there.
that's hung gar for sure. In fact it does say choy lee fut on the shirt, but maybe if they are like me they might come mainly from one style but like to practice forms from other styles as well.
This form is called Dan Gong Fook Fu, a variation of Hung Kuen Gong Ji Fook Fu Kuen. It's performed by Pun Hong Seng, my sifu's grandson. He was 6 years old then. My sifu taught him this form in order to stregthen his SPM because in HGK the stances are not as agile as CLF, so he can spend longer time on the stance when practice. This year should have improve a lot, I'll be in GZ this summer and I'll try to post something more updated!
Actually it is its a variation to the Gung Gee Fok Fu Kuen Form. Very goo to I might add. This form was a pain to perfom as I am used to constant movement not stop & go.
This is not the Choy li fut style. It is the southern Hung Gar's Gung Ji Fook Fu Quan. In english it is called the "I" Character taming the tiger form.
im in clf, and ive never seen that set before. in clf there are several sets that have something similiar to what he was doing at the beginning. but i did see a few gua saus and gua cups in the middle of his set.
and also, the ending was different from what i learned
por momentos parese mas hung gar que choy li fat. solo se puede ver que es choy por la remera del pibito y por las pocas ocaciones que hacen el cuachoy y el souchoy. aguante el choy li fat
huh? did u say kung fu is a dance? wow, thats kinda funny, cause in my Choy li Fut class we spar full with full gear, face mask, chest protector, 14 ounce cloves, mouth piece, and still bleed, ALOT. um kung fu really hurts, especially when you get hit in the temple with a kup choi or a sau choi. So yeah, kung fu is just a dance even though I'd be dead right now if I wasn't wearing a helmet when I was sparring. (sarcasm for you blondes out there).

Hey man I dont know how often you get into fights, maybe all the time, but thats your problem. Some people learn martial art styles because they love the art, because they want to be fit and dicipline their bodies and minds, and not just because they fantasize about the next time they get jumped. Seriously how often do normal people get into fights anyway? Who critizices a kid for doing a form to the best of his ability, what should he be practicing joint locks on his 10 year old friends? Chill.
kung fu isnt a dance..... There are forms that are known as "performance arts" ie. wushu, but it still isnt a dance. In terms of on the street, systems such as wc and clf are very practical
just to clear things up, several southern kung fu systems practice gung ji which, yes, is originally hung gar, i.e. choy li fut and fujow pai. sometimes this is because the founders of the system (or whoever introduced it to the public) were at some point hung gar practitioners. it is not clear whether this is the case with choy li fut. regardless a lot of influence/exchange occurs between kung fu schools, especially when they coexist in the same area.
This is almost move by mover the same version of Gung Gee Fook Fu that I use to train years ago. I've train Choy Li Fut for about eleven years now and this isn't Choy Li fut.
It looked like he started out doing a Hung Gar form, and in the middle part he forgot and switched to a Choy-Li form. Either way, this kid is fantastic and very well trained by his Sifu. It's great to see the young kids are carrying on the tradition. I give it 5 stars.......
Hi, I recorded that in King Mui village, the birthplace of Choy Lee Fut. I recorded it in the Chan Heung's 200th birthday celebration. Why he was going to do a Hung Gar set if we where celebrating the birthday of Chan Heung and Choy Lee Fut??. It doesn't have sense. So, he was doing a Choy Lee Fut set. Choy Lee Fut takes another things of a lot of styles: Wing Chun, Hung Gar, Muai Thai, etc.
I know the title and the uniform say choy li fut, but the kids is going a hung gar set 98% with the exception of the last 5 moves. The person who loaded these must have been a tourist, because there's is no way a choy li fut student or instrutor would call that a choy li fut set. this video needs to be retitled period. Oh, the kid is great
You are wrong! Choy Li Fut has many forms that Chan Heung (the founder) has learned from 3 teachers! maybe other styles like hung gar take form from other styles. For example hung gar has a bong bo set (tang Lang), lau family sets (in the Lam Jo Family)
I have studyed Hung Gar in the past and this form seems to be Gung Ji Fok Fu Kuen. But there is a Gung Ji Fok Fu in Choy Li Fut too. I haven't studied yet, so I can't say if it is similar to Hung Gar. One of Chan Heung's teacher was Li Yau San. Li Yau San's kung fu teacher was Ji Sin, a legendary monk from the Shaolin Temple. he forms handed down from Li Yau San are: Continuous Dual Kicking Form or Yin Yeung Twei Lin Wan and Iron Arrow Long Fist Hand Form or Tit Jin Cheong Kuen.

To add on, the repeat of the one china finger needs to go with breathing when it is in actual
practice, repeat at 3 times at each arm, thats will
built the power when he execute the attack.

hey guys, this is Tie Kuen, meaning Iron Fist,
under Hung Kar, When the kid reach his adulthood, he needs the seven iron rings on each
arm to train until he become very strong, named
Iron Bridge Fist.
It was one of the best in Foshan!

Yeah looks like because CLF use a lot of tiger movements from Hung Gar too
For exple CLF took Kung Gee Fok Fu Kuen (1 of the forms of Hung Gar) and add it to its system too, but with some diferent movements and postures...
If you look the hole forms looks like Choy Lee Fut Hung Sing Gwoon (Chen Family) style
Very nice video... wow its a really big for... great for that kid
