And the speed and tricks was the dumbest thing I have ever heard. He obviously hasn't watched any of our other videos... I am sure he can't choreograph a sword fight. I like the fact that your fight choreography doesn't look over done like a lot of lightsaber vids out there. Your's looks more natural and not like a dance routine. Check out my vid "The Stoned Wars" . It's not as intense as yours but you should get a kick out of it.

i think the thing that cyberninja does well with all their videos, and puts them above all other fan made films is the choreography and speed with which it is executed, i'm so sick of watching slow fight scenes with good effects, well done!

Well thank you. We just filmed a new movie and we are working on the effects now. You wont be disappointed. We filmed in a location resembling an old Sith temple. It's very cool, and the choreography is my best work so far. Its got acrobats, intensity, speed, and technicality. You'll love it. Preview is coming soon.

yeah umm for some reason when we uploaded this to youtube back in the day the frame rate dropped incredibly so everything is glitchy, like the force lightning. Super annoying. Oh well stay tuned to cyberninja and dreamdigital85's youtube for a trailer early december.

Yeah the film was filmed in widescreen with two different cameras. One camera didn't adjust right and smooshed everything in after effects. we learn from our mistakes though and got 1, 35mm camera and will be using that in our next film whch starts filming thanksgiving weekend

It's a small thing, but try to angle your shots so the reference stick for your lightsaber doesn't show in the finals. That's the only critique I have on this magnificent piece - the costuming is top notch, btw.

Yikes? lol. yeah its distorted because you can only upload 100 megs on youtube. This video is a huge file because it's HD. I had to make it 100 megabytes and its lowered the refresh rate.

no i am talking about your aspect ratio, its crunched like crazy, and i am guessing you were trying to get a cinematic feel since you might have shot it in 4:3 or 16:9 , but it would look better in 16:9 or maybe if you cropped it to whatever it is now or to 16:9. i like the action of your video, but its hard to enjoy it since the picture crunched together. other than that, good video

What happend was two different cameras were used and the setting on the other one wasn't the same. something we are sure not to do in the film we are working on now. when we took this one into after effects, it added it's own black bars to replicate the other half of the movie... oh well.

what camera/operating system/software do you use?

Adobe After Effects for lightsabers, Sony Vegas for video editing and sounds. And we just used a regular little sony $600.00 handycam, nothing special.

yeah its a really good way to do it when you dont have adobe after affects or dont want to use it, and its easy to use if you know your way around it. but some people that are starting out on vegas to make the saber frusterate cause the points dont want to go where you want them. it took me a while but i got used to it.

The Film is done. Problem is, the person struck by lightning in this clip won't commit himself to film the needed lightsaber sceanes and ending dialouge. So the movie is without the ending. My brother and I were talking about re-filming it... not sure though. I will post the entire movie that is put together thus far.

The reason "I" was running away was to sorta re-gain my control in the fight against the Jedi Master who suprized me. There is more following the force jump. It's a defensive stance. Kinda like Darth Maul fighting Qui-Gon, Darth Maul doesn't attack he mainly defends and lets his apponent get tired.
