Hey, just did a search for me and ran into this. Thanks for tagging me, Natster! I always thought you were cool, and now it's confirmed. I've supposedly quit youtubing though... Hmmm... We'll see...
Okay... I haven't watched the "factual fact" vid yet, which I assume is the unveil of the 1 truth. So here's my guess... the 1 true fact is that you were in the spelling bee.
But...but...but...Natalie, surely with your background and talents, you could find an academic (or quasi-academic) career path that would make you much more employable than a philosopher. Somehow law school seems to me like a kind of black hole into which interesting people fall, then maybe emerge in another dimension when they approach retirement. (One of my Greek teachers was a retired lawyer.)
I'd like to teach when I retire. Teach what, I don't know, but teach.
I'm counting on my time in the real world (earning real money) to give me clues about what sort of career path would interest me, because right now I haven't a clue.
I guess that makes sense. I worked as a computer programmer after college, which gave me a chance to think about what direction I wanted to go. But that was only a few years. Going to law school and then working as an attorney seems like more of a life commitment. Though I guess you can have one life and then start another life later.
It's a rough road, academia, but I do know quite a few people who have been reasonably successful. I also know an awful lot of lawyers who make good money and feel pretty fulfilled. Good luck with that.
I've been tracking it separately in Excel (although the official spreadsheet is useful for tracking old links that were broken before I found them, such as when WillVlogForFood got deleted). This is clear evidence of insanity on my part.
[Note: there are 2 "official" spreadsheets, one of which just lists the names grouped by first letter, and the second shows the structure of the tree, but it's hard to read because it's so big.]
I couldn't think of a good way to represent it with any software that I have, so I just used (independently) the same spreadsheet structure as in the "official" tree. It's easier for me to read my own because I can use shortcut keys in Excel. I don't know how to navigate through a Google spreadsheet over the Web.

If you're gonna make up facts you should have come up with really some good ones like you were skydiving, and your parachute didn't open, but you survived. :p
OMG I've been tagged. I'll probably make a video tomorrow or Saturday.
So...concerning the potential trueness of one of your facts...I'm not sure if this counts for the fact in question...but...should I refer to you as "the Natalie"? (Is that too subtle?...or not subtle enough?...)
FYI nerimon tagged Laurbubble, who tagged MusicFromBlueSkies, who tagged WillVlogForFood, who tagged jammiejames2150. I think I'll give the whole pedigree in my video.
Either I'm too dense or that's too subtle, because I don't get it. I think you might be barking up the wrong tree; my true fact doesn't contain or imply a "the Natalie".
Oh neat, cool that you could track that down. That puts me in the 11th generation, I think.
Excellent lies. This is tough. No broken bones possible. A secret alter ego hater channel? hmm. James Bond is a horrible enough name for a dog that it might be true. A "real job" tricky one, Pappasitos is first job place and hostess is a common sucky job. I think denouement would have been a coached word if you would have gone to the finals and third round is pretty darn good. I can't stand this, not enough data. JOB- final answer.
The good thing about it is that you are honest about that you lied. Thank you for being honest. I like that.

Off to see if I guessed right... LOL! :-)

Bah!
Okay, for the record, I guessed wrong. But I was close... I guessed the most true lie. :-)

I am dieing to know which is true. Thanks for joining. So far I am one for five. The pills thing was awesome in a totally weird way.
ExperimentsinHonesty 4 years ago
I made my reply :P Enjoy.. Which one is the true fact?
Tylzen 4 years ago
All will be revealed . . . probably tomorrow.

What kind of pills are those?
DClaudeKatz 4 years ago
I have extra footage about them that I'll probably throw into the next video.

"Thanks for college, etc."
Heh. Good luck with that. I did college and some grad school and I still have had many crappy jobs. Then again, I did major in philosophy.

I've heard that from so many people that it's dashed my dreams of academia and driven me in a more practical direction. Next year: law school.

Trust your mathematical mind to want to chart a progression tree for this meme. That's so you.
Um, anyway, I have no idea which fact is true.
YourTaciturnFriend 4 years ago
Oh I do, I do. There's a Google spreadsheet that supposedly tracks who's been tagged, but by now it's very incomplete.
Prepoceros 4 years ago

Insanity, yes, but the best kind of insanity.
It would definitely be easier to read tree-style, probably zoomable. I'm thinking mind-map-style, with the branches going out in all directions.

OK, what if I called you "the Donald" instead?
DClaudeKatz 4 years ago
Damnit, I'd forgotten about that. An accidentally true "lie", egads!
Prepoceros 4 years ago
On second thought, it's still false the way I told it. Phew!
Prepoceros 4 years ago

Dude, James Bond is an awesome name for a dog. Most dogs WISH they were so lucky.
Prepoceros 4 years ago
2, 3, 4 and 5 are lies. Uhm, though you sound believable :D Though I guess the untrue stories probably have a lot of real stuff in them.
Well, I guess 1 is true, but I'm probably wrong :P
HKurck 4 years ago
It's good to know I can lie convincingly. =)
Only two of the lies contain nuggets of truth, actually. The other two are entirely made up.

Is 1 true? :)
