Amen, Paul is not the way to the Father in the sense that Jesus is. He just recognized that he was Timothy's spiritual father. There is nothing wrong with that. Its in scripture.
Mat 23:9 "Do not call {anyone} on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.
God didn't give Heaven to Paul, He gave it to Jesus. Following Paul will only get you into Heaven if Paul is following Jesus. And Paul (a human and fallible) does not appear to be following Jesus there. The name under Heaven by which all men may be saved is not "Catholic", it is "Jesus"!
I dunno.... it seems to me Paul should have told Timothy, "Look, bro, there is only ONE dude you should be allowing to run your life, and that's Jesus. This is who He is...." Sorry Catholics aren't christians. Early apostles and believers were first called christians and Catholics are entirely different from them. The bible says there is no mediator between God and Man except Jesus Christ. Then why do Catholics pray to Mary? They say they are having Mary pray to God for them. Jesus Founded a Church (MT 16). This Church was and still is Catholic (check out a History book). The Catholic Church decided what books would be in Scripture. The Catholic Church does not teach that Mary is to be worshiped. Also, I am Catholic. I read the bible daily. Pray for an hour daily and I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Does this mean I am going to hell? Are you saying I am religious but not a True Christian? Think about your statements. The Church does not believe that anyone who prays 10 Hail Marys (LK 1:26) will automatically go to heaven! Prayer comes from the heart. Please educate yourself a little on Catholic teaching.

Catholics call priest "father" because they are our spiritual fathers. "Call no man your father" means do not let anyone take the place of God in your life as your true Father. IF we took this verse literally you should not call your own biological dad "father." Finally, i invite you to look at 1 Tim 1:2, Paul states, "To Timothy, my true son in the faith." Here Paul implies that he is Timothy's spiritual father, "in faith." So, Jesus looks at the intentions of ones heart.

Sorry Catholics aren't christians. Early apostles and believers were first called christians and Catholics are entirely different from them. The bible says there is no mediator between God and Man except Jesus Christ. Then why do Catholics pray to Mary? They say they are having Mary pray to God for them. That is so incorrect but Catholics wont know this because they rarely read their bible.

Hi, Catholic are Christians: First off to be a Christian is to believe that Jesus Christ is God. The Catholic Church dealt with this issue about 1500 years ago in a couple of councils. Jesus Founded a Church (MT 16). This Church was and still is Catholic (check out a History book). The Catholic Church decided what books would be in Scripture. Pope Damascas in 382 proclaimed the books of the New Testament. Thats almost 400 years after Christ!!!!

By the catholic standard, the thief on the cross would have gone to hell because he didnt say 10 hail marys. We all know he went to heaven becuase he did the one thing you have to do to get to heaven: accept Jesus as your savior. Catholics are religious. True christians arent, they just have a relationship with Christ.

The Catholic Church, in my experience, does not teach that praying hail mary's will get anyone into heaven. It is an act of common prayer and fellowship. And if you can ask your brother to pray for you, why can't you ask Mary - "Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death." "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with the." "Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of they womb, Jesus." comes from Luke 1:28.

this is da kind of christian rock band i love.. there straight with there relationship w/God and christ and not afraid to say so.. and they reach out for the broken and confused youths who really need a message from a youth... he made it clear, God Loves us - no matter how r hair looks... there are youth out there seeking for Eternal Life, meaning of this world, the truth and who really had bad history and want real change...

That mini-sermon at the beginning was so touching. I've at one point thought that God existed but didn't care about me anymore. I'm back on the right path though, either it way it almost brings tears to my eyes.

You're right. EVERYONE believes in God. The Christians, the Catholics, the Mormons, the Science Cult, the Hindus, the Buddists, and the Muslims. Everyone of these groups believes in God.
The Christians are the only ones that know if you give your life to JESUS CHRIST wholly on faith alone, then, and only then, will you truly find salvation in "God."

God did send his son (Jesus) to die for sinners because he loves us all ( John 3:16, but God dosen't love our sin. He loves us as a person because he created us, but he does not love where you are in life if your living in sin. He wants you to live for Him, and that means to become like God.

It is wonderful to be changed by God. I lived in a atheistic family, put in one home to another, livd a terrible life on the streets on Seattle and was rescued by a man that I would later call dad. He passed away 4/27/07 but his teachings about Christ and his heart gave me hope and a whole new out look on life. Praise Christ an thanx for the music!

Thanks,I have already started the book. It is called "Caged." A life of almost no hope to a life that is blessed.The "Streetwise" documentary is on you tube, this was the life I lived as a child. Praise Christ the he entered my life. I do not know where I would be if it was not for Him and God's grace.
