  • The ocean Liners are all I have to keep me going, & that includes Aquitania.

  • I LOVED the color pictures at the end!!!!

    where did you get those?

  • great video....but hmmmmm late 60's shopping music lol..

  • She"s so beautiful. Beautiful. Aquitania take me away & we'll all sail together forever.

  • wat happien t her was she scrapt or sank?

  • She was scrapped, after 36 years of service, and two world wars she was so worn out she litterally had things starting to fall through her decks.

  • She was a lovely ship but by the time she was ready for scrapping she was rusted out.A piano fell through a deck when she was in port during some work.she was rusted out!

  • This ship is mind blowing! And she was huge! But was she bigger than Mauretania and Lusitania?

  • so sad i hate the germans they sunk britannic in lustania they broke the rules no sinking hospital ships but if there was a armd soldier in outfet then yay they could fire dang them

  • @sigft25 Brittanic likely struck a mine....or so Dr. Robert Ballard thought..but it's in conclusive, but war records suggest No U boats where in the area

  • Beautiful tribute, and the color views are stunning. Cunard's remarkable Aquitania touched the lives of more than 1 million people throughout the world, during her 36 year career. Few ships in history have earned such a claim to fame. It's nice to see that interest in this great ship has grown with each new generation that has come since her passing. Fine tributes like this will help to perpetuate her memory well into the future.

  • The RMS Queen Mary is the ship off to left at 00:35 and Queen Mary in the middle at 00:40 and This was during the 1940s of WW2 and She was the grey ghost,,

  • She was broken up in 1950 at Metal industries Faslane on the Clyde (now Faslane submarine base)and I was fortunate enough to see her being towed to her last resting place, elegant, majestic and magnificent to the last. Truly she was 'The ship beautiful'

  • what ever happened to this thing?

  • This was most definitely my favourite of all the 14 four stackers, though Lusitania comes a close second. Aquitania remains one of my favourite ocean liners of all, hence my name. The decor, the lines, power and elegance are unsurpassed, and I simply love this tribute to "The Ship Beautiful." The colour photos are the best part and I've never seen them before until now. Thank you so much for this.

  • Wow, she took my breath away! Well done.
