Lovely Billy Fury composition. Such an underrated performer who wrote some really good songs. Love Billy so much and miss him he will never be gone. RIP BILLY.

I too have never heard this song before. I bought myself Billy's CD of hits for Christmas last year. Love to listen to it. I was 10 when this song was released. As others have said on here, why was it banned by the Beeb? RIP dear Billy.

A song that is so beautifully sung by Billy Fury. I've searched all over, and the general feeling is that they felt that the idea of a prayer, and the longing of his girl, in the same song, is innopropriate.

I don't see it, but that's only my humble opinion.

A brilliant record. Beautiful backing for teenage Billy's trully fantastic voice. Clever and unexpected change of tempo at the end. I believe this was his lowest selling Decca single release, but it should have been a huge hit.

Definately a classic "one that got away".
