  • My friends dad has a 68 Jag E-Type 4.2 and he let me drive it a few months back. Some of the most fun i had driving a car. The best part was stopping right next to a DB9 at a red light, and of course making everyone's head turn while you're driving

  • VERY interesting. Love the throaty idling sound. I'm switching the radio station to - I'm a Country Boy, (Alan Jackson). Thanks for the ride !

  • I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree!

  • These cars and I mean British cars in general don't rust any worse than any other American or Euro cars of the same era. The electreicals same thing. The point is that with proper care

one can maintain these issues. Problem is prople don't.

  • The acceleration is amazing !!!

I want to congratulate the Haaat Dog on a fantastic review, Nicely done !

  • I have that car and its FAST:D i love it!!

  • Nice E.

    Cheers

  • Awesome sound! I am looking for the same sound out of my 67 Series I E-Type. What are you using for the exhaust system?

  • It looks like ANSA. I have the same thing. Are you running the car with SU's or with Stromberg carbs?

  • Stromberg, and you are correct it is ANSA

  • These cars look light and sinuous, but the video starting at 0:44 shows that they pull like a freight train. The engine's torque is amazing. You can start the car and drive off in fourth gear. If you step on the accelerator at 70 MPH, the car will just walk away from other cars. It is well balanced, too. Four wheel drifts are easy. Unfortunately, the electricals are junk and everything rusts.

  • First, nice camera work... NOT, I think he got a little to much fun before filming.
