I know she lost her vocal range a long time ago, but I didn't realize she totally lost it this long ago (1987). If you can't sing the songs anywhere near the orginal you need to retire. Christine was smart to get out before she lost it like Stevie.
@ASurvivor1 I have to disagree. I love her raspier, deeper voice. I think this version is better than the original. She is the queen of rock, and I just seen her in Boston this past summer. She can still sing and puts on a great performance. To each their own though. You can find the original version of her singing this here also in 1978 or so.

she sounds like shes got a heavy cold, the last good tthing she recorded was rock a little in 1985 and before that the brillian wild heart and Bella Donna, Rhiannon, Sara, Dreams and Gypsy, forget the rest, I like Stevie, but these mentioned are her best.
hey gregor-whatever, it WAS lindsay buckingham playing guitar, along with john mcvie and an add'l tour guy. do you know what he looks like? thats him fronting and looking at stevie (they were still an item then before both kinda imploded after splitting up)
Sorry It was NOT Lindsay Buckingham playing guitar, it is Billy Burnette by Stevie and the other lead guitar player is Rick Vito. John McVie on bass. Lindsay Buckingham left before the Tango in the Night tour.
Why does she never hit those high notes live? I thought she only stopped doing them recently because of her age etc but even all the old live videos I've seen, she never attempts the high notes.
@Universe1189 she snorted to much coke she has no nose left thats why she cant hit the high notes live the studio you can doctor it up but you cant live thats part of why she has no range left she sings almost monotone now
@TheMonty2221 Those were the cocaine days in Hollywood. Everybody was doing it. Mick Fleetwood is quoted as saying if you don't believe someone can snort a million dollars worth of cocaine, just ask him. And, like many of the other remarkable talented bands and artists of that incredible era, it took its inevitable toll on everyone. Check out Jackson Browne's song about cocaine, runnin' around my brain...
@mscubana The 70's in Dade County was one big party, particularly the last part of the decade. It began going to hell when a pair of Colombians shot up a Dadeland shopping center liquor store on a Saturday afternoon with a Mac-10. That tore it. It was one hell of a lot of fun...if you lived...
@krisfrankie The did a gig in Vancouver about 10-12 yrs ago. Nobody who went to see them got their money's worth. Writeup in the Vancouver Sun featured some comments by the agent who booked them in here. They will never perform here again. It is like these people don't give a shit about anything but their bank accounts, and 'screw the people who made that rich.'
@pintore1 . . . HEY asshole; Quit trying to tell other people what to say. What are you, a control freak? Or just another jerk Dutchman? Can you even read. I said they performed in Vancouver and were a total disappointment. Like it or shove it
@sparwood8 I've seen Stevie live and it was one of the most amazing concerts I've ever been to. She was so animated and warm...and she really rocked out!
@DrAtmo maybe because you don't really like this music. I love it, play it at least once or twice a week to remember great songs and singers of the 70's.
@ Elin48 - im a singer and I'm amazed how many 19 -24 yr olds know who Stevie Nicks is and trip out when they hear me peform this song..lol...she needs to be around those who do appreciate this generation...xoxo
I just played this ?memory lane piece of music" for my daughter. In 1987 my daughter was 1 years...she said "Mom, my generation doesn't know them" My reaction...What a pity!
@chandlerbingfan or maybe 6 people that dont like this version...I dont like it either...its like the songs atmosphere and spirit has been lost...I prefere de version with 3 million views and the album one
@Catau93rl I dont like it like I do the better version. It really shows the displacement of real feelings after years of torture through love and drugs.
I cant imagine it would be easy to keep the feeling going after all they had been through I dunno.
this song always reminds me of being a kid back in the 70s and having that huge t.v. with the built in stereo with record player in it. does any of you remember them?? you know they had the little black and white t.v. sitting on them because the tube went out of the color t.v.. in the stereo. lol i still have mine with a flat screen sitting on it. because the freaking big screen went out. roflmao. godbless.
Was Lindsey not with the band at this time? I know they (he and Stevie) didn't last as a couple, but I didn't know he was absent from the band....beautiful song -- but all of them were wonderful!
amazing how FM reinvented itself when the fantastic Peter Green left. totally different band ... right in the middle of the road. this is shite compared to man of the world or oh well. schmaltzy music for coke-heads.
back in the 70s and 80s i had all the record collections with all of theirs. ok then the dvd came out and had to go rebuy them. ok then i got married. worked real hard made it up to management and came home and my future ex-wife took them all and left. ok so i went to court the judge asked what do you want? i said my stevie nicks albums back. keep the money and house and everything else just give my library back. whooo flashback sorry. lol god bless.
@39tommyboy At least you married(and divorced) a woman with good taste. If it had been otherwise then you probably wouldn't have married her in the first place.
@39tommyboy Right on! My folks had the album and I had to beg my mom for it. She did not want to part with it at all. This was some 20 years she has had it. Oh well, had to buy the cd.
That's so strange me seeing your comment about Stevie and Fleetwood Mac - My now ex for over 23 yrs he KNEW everything we had of hers was mine - along with Jackson Browne and a few others - was one of the hardest things to part with - lots of our music - lots of fights over that one at the time - long before UTube. I relate - you gave me a flashback - Thanks.
@39tommyboy omg I went through the exact same thing except I didn't ask for the albums in court. I had a friend of his steal them back for me HA! I had bought Rumors while I was in college....my favorite. HE knew it would really get to me to take all that stuff but he didn't count on his friends liking me more than him LOL.
@39tommyboy That's just epic man, big thumbs-up. But I think you did the right thing...you can always find a new house or a new spouse, but great music from great musicians is timeless and irreplaceable.
@39tommyboy tommy behave ur self you didnt get anything from the house cos we didn't own it, the sodding council did! and the closet u got to management was when u used to clean their toilets, contract cleaner u!!! i actually divorced him when i came home early from the bongo and caught the pervert in my silk undies in front of a cam!!
One of my all-time favorite songs! I like this sped up version. It amazes me how powerful they sound live, one of the best live bands I've ever heard.
fans of fleetwood mac plz dont take this the wrong way but they are easy remember because they are probably the only band that has the names of to trucks Fleetwood and Mac pretty cool good vocals and all around good band
this fucking bitch is sooo fucking fierce! My mom loves this bacnd to death....all I heard growing up. Fleetwood Mac, Linda Ronstadt, and The Eagles.....arrgh.
Since people seem to be conflicting Stevie's condition at this point, this is it: She has been of cocaine since 1986, she was starting to take the klonopin tranquilizers prescribed to her that would become an addiction later on.
I like this linup of Fleetwood Mac better than with Lyndsey Buckingham. As outlandishlingly talented as he is...this band had better balance. Vito was awesome on lead guitar. Nothing against Buckingham...really. These are amazing videos from 1987. Tango in the Night...totally under-rated.
I think Stevie Nicks is,and was fuckin awesome......the mother of my child looked like her to...i love this version of this song....i think she sounds and looks fantastic.......
maybe stevie's voice is changing because she is getting older or just maybe it's because she has done a zillian concerts and just maybe her voice box has worked hard... ever think about that,,, every time you people think somethings wrong with her voice oh well it must be the coke.... you all have forgot how much she has done music wise. stevie has worked harder than anyone I know to make music for her fans
Yeah true look at steven tyler from aerosmith: his voice got higher and he probably did more coke than her! Everyone is different and women voices change a lot. An maybe less for others. But maybe they sang less than her as well, she never stopped! so yeah, i do agree with you...
It wasnt the ciggarettes that did that to her mate. She used to be an extremely heavy user of coccaine, and if you listen to her voice here, it sounds very nasal, like theres something wrong there. You'll notice now that shes kicked the habbit, that her voice has gotten better.
stevie only has the very strange nazel tone because of the affects of coccaine. its a pity to say that but its true. she still sounds great without the "cocaine tone". the probably with this performance is she overpowers christine.

Does anyone have a video of Stevie singing "Wild Heart" ??? The only one I found is the one where she is singing the song backstage before going on!

Since people seem to be conflicting Stevie's condition at this point, this is it: She has been of cocaine since 1986, she was starting to take the klonopin tranquilizers prescribed to her that would become an addiction later on.

The Best time from Fleetwood Mac

I like this linup of Fleetwood Mac better than with Lyndsey Buckingham. As outlandishlingly talented as he is...this band had better balance. Vito was awesome on lead guitar. Nothing against Buckingham...really. These are amazing videos from 1987. Tango in the Night...totally under-rated.

maybe stevie's voice is changing because she is getting older or just maybe it's because she has done a zillian concerts and just maybe her voice box has worked hard... ever think about that,,, every time you people think somethings wrong with her voice oh well it must be the coke.... you all have forgot how much she has done music wise. stevie has worked harder than anyone I know to make music for her fans

Yeah true look at steven tyler from aerosmith: his voice got higher and he probably did more coke than her! Everyone is different and women voices change a lot. An maybe less for others. But maybe they sang less than her as well, she never stopped! so yeah, i do agree with you...

Chris' voice hasn't changed hardly--

smoking cigs will do this to your voice, and unfortunately, Stevie was a heavy smoker. Have no idea if she still smokes today or not.
Henrytheape 3 years ago
It wasnt the ciggarettes that did that to her mate. She used to be an extremely heavy user of coccaine, and if you listen to her voice here, it sounds very nasal, like theres something wrong there. You'll notice now that shes kicked the habbit, that her voice has gotten better.

she don't smoke anymore stopped in 1996

Love this song and the Deep Dish version.

stevie only has the very strange nazel tone because of the affects of coccaine. its a pity to say that but its true. she still sounds great without the "cocaine tone". the probably with this performance is she overpowers christine.

My favorite band and my third favorite Fleetwood Mac song (after "Gypsy" and "Rhiannon").

I don't think Stevie is good looking in this video. Yes I know she just got out of rehab, but in the Seven Wonder music video she looks pretty good.
