My dreams have always been very strange. I can taste and feel and see in color in my dreams. Like, seriously. Once I dreamt I was a zombie and was just trying to make friends with the survivors, but they kept shooting me. And it hurt. It really literally hurt.
My dreams used to be recurring, so every night when I was going to sleep it was like I was going to this whole other world, one in which I actually met new dream-people. It was like another life I had, but inside of my head.
I played Amahl when I was 9 years old!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was my first ever stage performance. I was sharing the part with a guy named Shawn because they didn't want to overstress either of us because we were so young. I tasted black licorice for the first time ever because of that show.
I'm sure this was already said, but I think the dream means you were worried that you weren't living up to the expectations of others, or were worried that you were falling behind and others were going places in life and leaving you behind. That's what I got from it.

@agata0519 the word "experiencing" does not necessarily mean physically experiencing, but it can also include things you had previously imagined while awake, so if you had imagined having a kiss, you can dream about having a kiss.
when I was a kid I had a dream in which two cockney robbers would rob a big country house during a party. they then go caught and tried to escape by digging holes in the ground, putting their legs in them and driving off... It was bizarre and happened on more than one occasion.

Last night i dreamed that i was in an elevator and it went up before the doors were fully closed. two of my friends dove through the doors trying to catch me but instead they fell down the shaft. i heard their distressful yelps for their families echo as i helplessly listened. sometimes i get woken up by other people if I'm late for school or what not. I occasionally wake up murmuring weird things. Quite recently, someone was waking me up and I murmered "12 'o'clock please" (I had dreamed that I could choose the time at which I would wake up on my own accord (It was only in the dream that it was a day off from school).).

Dan im sorry to say that Dream interpretation is a pseudoscience and has no real connotation to anything that happens in the real word. It was something that Frued mad up in order to give his thoughts on the way that humans grow(nature vs nurture) some credit. Dan if you look up the evidence, Im sorry to say but your dream met nothing. It was a bunch of random thoughts throughout from the day before that you wove, unconsciously, through many different things that you saw or heard that day.
I think it comes down to you being in the public eye for You Tube; the Jeopardy show and the the mass talent show symbolizes You Tube. Your recent trail with Dan 3.0 left you wanting. You weren’t happy with it and you knew that you needed to make a change. I think it is your subconscious coming to terms with your past feelings and thoughts about your trial. @132L7 I can vouch for your second comment below. The one about dreams not having to be about that days events. Over a month ago, I was in the hospital. I was poked with so many needles it wasn’t funny (6 I.V. lines during the stay, 2 failed attempts, a shot of blood thinners every day and 5 blood tests. Not to mention the needle pokes for anesthetics. Just last night I dreamt I had to put an I.V. line into my own leg. Of course I had no actual skill or experience in the matter, so I screwed up.
Oddly enough, the only dream i can recall recently happened a few nights ago, and it goes like this.... I'm part of a military strike team and we are taking a mansion (god knows why) and we do. not a soul inside, so we all take a break. then, next i know, i'm naked but for my socks and Motoko Kasanagi from Ghost In The Shell beckons me into the shower. I take off my socks and walk in, but start to focus on the shower head that's not working. phase again and i'm suited up, collecting the team...

the best person for interpreting a dream is probably the person who had it. they'll have the best idea of where all the elements came from and they'll be able to analyse what happened and how it made them feel best in relation to what's happening in their real life.

Masters in Psych here... There is A LOT of symbolism here and it would take 20 comments to break it all down but lets focus on your final emotion. This is pretty simple actually. I like what you've been doing with your channel recently. Dan 3.0 didn't work, and sometimes it's better and more constructive to change things slowly, figure out what needs to change or be modified and change that instead of doing a complete makeover. You've been doing that, and I have to say it's working for you. @neonlightshow Dan’s breakdown at VidCon (something he admitted to all of us) is a fact. He had a hard time dealing with what he was doing with his show (at that point in time), this too is a fact. It is also a fact that the subconscious turns events in one’s life into dreams. It never has been stipulated that it has to be of that specific day. You say that sometimes a cigar is is just a cigar, yet fail to see when a cigar is a cigar and when it isn’t. This sounds a lot like VidCon in dream form

Last night i dreamed that i was in an elevator and it went up before the doors were fully closed. two of my friends dove through the doors trying to catch me but instead they fell down the shaft. i heard their distressful yelps for their families echo as i helplessly listened. As soon as i heard the pops, my elevator disconnected from the cable and i plummeted to the ground until i heard another pop. i then realized was my own body.

sometimes i get woken up by other people if I'm late for school or what not. I occasionally wake up murmuring weird things. Quite recently, someone was waking me up and I murmered "12 'o'clock please" (I had dreamed that I could choose the time at which I would wake up on my own accord (It was only in the dream that it was a day off from school).).

Dan im sorry to say that Dream interpretation is a pseudoscience and has no real connotation to anything that happens in the real word. It was something that Frued mad up in order to give his thoughts on the way that humans grow(nature vs nurture) some credit. Dan if you look up the evidence, Im sorry to say but your dream met nothing. It was a bunch of random thoughts throughout from the day before that you wove, unconsciously, through many different things that you saw or heard that day.

I think it comes down to you being in the public eye for You Tube; the Jeopardy show and the the mass talent show symbolizes You Tube. Your recent trail with Dan 3.0 left you wanting. You weren’t happy with it and you knew that you needed to make a change. I think it is your subconscious coming to terms with your past feelings and thoughts about your trial. Good on you for the change in this direction, allowing a more engaged conversation between you and your audience.

@132L7 I can vouch for your second comment below. The one about dreams not having to be about that days events. Over a month ago, I was in the hospital. I was poked with so many needles it wasn’t funny (6 I.V. lines during the stay, 2 failed attempts, a shot of blood thinners every day and 5 blood tests. Not to mention the needle pokes for anesthetics. Just last night I dreamt I had to put an I.V. line into my own leg. Of course I had no actual skill or experience in the matter, so I screwed up.

Oddly enough, the only dream i can recall recently happened a few nights ago, and it goes like this.... I'm part of a military strike team and we are taking a mansion (god knows why) and we do. not a soul inside, so we all take a break. then, next i know, i'm naked but for my socks and Motoko Kasanagi from Ghost In The Shell beckons me into the shower. I take off my socks and walk in, but start to focus on the shower head that's not working. phase again and i'm suited up, collecting the team...

My strangest in the last 4 weeks alone were about A space ship and me wearing some kind of suit covered in jelly. And, next I got to hang with Gradlife vlogr Wyatt. Last I was in a slight sexual dream about my best friends wife. All very vivid.

the best person for interpreting a dream is probably the person who had it. they'll have the best idea of where all the elements came from and they'll be able to analyse what happened and how it made them feel best in relation to what's happening in their real life.

Masters in Psych here... There is A LOT of symbolism here and it would take 20 comments to break it all down but lets focus on your final emotion. This is pretty simple actually. Whether it be about something you were specifically preparing for or life in general, constantly worry that you could have done better had you only spent more time on "it" You are probably a procrastinator and this dream stems from the sub-conscience guilt that weighs on your mind for not giving "it" your all.

Why does everyone assume dreams are some sort of complex beautiful metaphor of your life?
Usually they're just obvious literal interpretations of things you're worried about or random situations fueled by your brain trying to make sense of all the stuff it's absorbed throughout the day.
Also, there's some evidence dreams function as a sort of 'practice' for reality. e.g. a person who's practiced running away from a lion before in dreams will be better at it.

@number1canuck the thing with that theory is it deals withe the sorting of information collected during the day. So technically the dream could help you interpret underlying feelings or things you could have missed previously because your conscious mind was too busy to process these things at the time.

I like what you've been doing with your channel recently. Dan 3.0 didn't work, and sometimes it's better and more constructive to change things slowly, figure out what needs to change or be modified and change that instead of doing a complete makeover. You've been doing that, and I have to say it's working for you. But think the biggest reason I love your channel is because you're not afraid to make mistakes and not try to forget them but rather use them to improve and evolve.

Dreans don't neccasarly mean anything, though if you ask a good number of people in the world they will tell you otherwise. They are an amazing phenomenom of the human mind, one that seems so simple yet has not been fully explained yet. If i were you and i was seriously looking into 'dream theory's' i would go somewhere more acurate than a group of youtube followers who are passing on information that they heard at some point in time to you.

I had a dream that I was attacked by wolves...repeatedly. And the location made no sense. I was in a field that held a horse that I knew but there was also an enclosed phonebooth across a street that's not there in reality. That was my safe haven. Sometimes I made it...most times I didn't. One time, I turned and ran the opposite direction, to the horse...I woke up but I think it's safe to say that they ate the horse O_o

Dreams don;t necessarily mean anything. Have you heard of the activation synthesis theory? It basically states that dreams are just your brain trying to make sense of random impulses your brain gives off during sleep.

@number1canuck I would agree with you on about 90% of dream material. Strong emotions and visually recognizing words, however is significant due to your dreaming brain being unable to read(wrong part of the brain) so when you see words that make sense in a dream, its typically a picture-based memory. There IS significance in SOME dream material. But for most of it, you are absolutely right.
