His bending technique is terrible, considering the fact that he only uses on finger to bend the string. And the last technique is a simple punk technique that anybody can do.

Fuck the pick slide's, only in ac/dc or VH, other wise its useless. Play with emotion and feeling. Otherwise just shred BS all day long so Metal heads can flip there heads around because they have no music melody in there hearing anyhow, lol/

That first technique is commonly referred to as a slap-lick. For the novice it's easier to accomplish the bend if you use your forefinger at the 12 position E string and stretch your index and ring fingers up to the 15th position B string and use both to push up to make the bend. You'll have considerably more control pushing up with both fingers makes it easy.

the reason I think it sounds so cool is the fact that you are starting with a minor 3rd witch is a sad interval; taking the root note and bringing it up to a minor 2nd aka half step. its also sad but a half step is the difference between major and minor. whene you have distortion it sounds like they are fighting for dominence
